For the last two weeks, we’ve been hosting the inaugural session of the DreamStage Development Lab summer intensive: a serious, collaborative rehearsal room focused on developing new plays with actors and playwrights working together as artistic investigators. It culminated yesterday with an open rehearsal where the community was invited to watch students, along with local professional actors, current GSA faculty and alumni dive into a trio of brand new plays.

We are so proud of alum Nasia Thomas!

One of Broadway's biggest new musicals is hitting the road, with the first-ever North American tour now revealing its leading cast.

Death Becomes Her has announced the stars who will lead its multi-year tour, which launches this September in Cleveland before visiting cities across the United States through 2027.

Leading the company will be Jackie Burns as Madeline Ashton and Kristen Beth Williams as Helen Sharp, alongside Ken Marino as Ernest Menville, Nasia Thomas as Viola Van Horn, Louis A. Williams Jr. as Chagall and Michael Buchanan as Stefan.

Gail Bennett will serve as the standby for both Madeline Ashton and Helen Sharp.

Based on the beloved 1992 film, the musical follows glamorous rivals Madeline and Helen, whose rivalry takes a dramatic turn after they discover a mysterious potion that promises eternal youth, with some very unexpected consequences.

The tour follows the show's acclaimed Broadway run, which came to an end in June.
