Chapel is one of the best times of our week!

Thank you Pastor Freddy Villarreal for reminding us last week that we belong to each other and with each other.

The world can be so isolating. We can be surrounded by people but feel so alone. We were reminded to look around and notice someone - and to allow ourselves to be noticed. Community can be hard, but in the end, healthy community is rewarding.

This Thursday we will hear testimonies from fellow students - make sure you’re there to support and cheer them on!

This is your reminder to join us for Creative Networking this Friday at the Seapointe College campus from 6p - 8p.

davehummel will be there to give studio training for anyone interested in using the campus studio for personal projects!

We will also have painting, writing, and other music collaboration opportunities available!

This event is open to anyone in the 757 creative community looking for more spaces to collaborate. See you Friday!

Our Seapointe College Chairman of the Board Hon. Jennifer B. Shupert spoke last week on a panel with other community leaders and field experts hosted by Regent Law and Safe House Project about how we can better serve the foster population.

We are so proud of her work representing biblical leadership for community care!

Our Creative Video Production class was out in the field capturing great footage this week!

At Seapointe our professors are always finding ways to flip the classroom and incorporate real experiences into the learning environment.

By the time they graduate, these students will be ready to step into careers creating compelling and professional content!

Our students take video production classes as a minor paired with any of our three majors: Leadership, Community Care or Creative Arts!

What a blessing when a guest speaker comes to share wisdom with our student body and community!

Excited to hear from Pastor Freddy Villareal from Freedom Life Church - Hampton today in chapel. See you there at 4pm! Freddy Villarreal

Today we shout out Chef Thomas with Mercy Chefs! We are so very grateful for his leadership and partnership.

Every week he’s on our campus training Seapointe students in the skill of banquet waiting. A valuable trade they can use to build their futures.

Chef Thomas also makes sure our Mercy Chef emergency food pantry boxes are stocked for our students and community members in need.

Not only that - he makes sure we have healthy meals for our student community dinners throughout the semester.

Mercy Chefs and Chef Thomas do amazing things all over the world, but they also notice the needs in their own community. They have been such a blessing to us and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Founder and Executive Director of small trips, BIG IMPACT Ginny Paynter came to share in chapel yesterday and gave away 10 copies of her new book “Hey, Somebody!” plus a copy for our library.

She talked about the importance of everyday missions, knowing your neighbors, and gave some practical tips on how you can be the “somebody” who should do something!

We are so grateful for her insight, vision and generosity! Thank you, Ginny!
