This morning, Councilwoman Mamie B. Johnson was joined by Deputy City Manager James Rogers on WTKR News 3, where they discussed the upcoming COMMUNITY CONNECT celebration. This family-friendly, community event will take place on Sept. 12 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tarrallton Community Center and Park—and will have something for everyone! Enjoy learning about local resources, get free health screenings, enjoy food trucks and more.

Fun fact: Councilwoman Johnson was joined by a former student of hers, who she taught in 4th grade. This gentleman now has 4 daughters of his own in Norfolk schools!

See you all at Community Connect on Sept. 12, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.!
