Scholars at JMES had an exciting Career Day today! They learned about and got hands on experience with so many different careers. Thank you to all our supporters for dedicating your time to our scholars. It was an amazing experience. A special shout out to our awesome counselor, Mr. Harris for organizing this amazing event!!

ODU Day at James Monroe is this Friday, April 3rd!

We invite all of our Eagles to wear ODU gear or the colors navy, light blue, and gray as we celebrate and show our support for Old Dominion University. Our scholars will also be signing a special banner to share with the ODU Black Student Alliance who mentor scholars weekly and support JMES activities regularly.

This week,
3rd Grade: Mon-Tues is 6’s, Wed-Fri is 7’s
4th Grade: Mon-Tues is 11’s, Wed-Fri is 12’s
5th Grade: Mon is 3’s & 6’s, Tues-Fri is 7’s & 9’s

Scholars, study at home so you can ace them in the morning! Families, quiz you child at home, in the car, or wherever! ✖️🟰💪

5th grade enjoyed learning about the Dance Theatre of Harlem today at Chrysler Hall! The history, the dance technique, the performances, and demonstration was enlightening, entertaining, & fun! Dance Theatre of Harlem

Grades 3-5 are working hard every morning practicing their multiplication facts with the ILT team! Grade 3 practiced 6’s this week, Grade 4 practiced 8’s, and Grade 5 practiced 4’s & 8’s.
Grade 5 study your 9’s this weekend!!

Students at JMES are competing to see which class completes the most lessons on Zearn, our math computer program. The class with the most completed lessons by the end of March will earn a pizza party!
