A Peek Into Our Primary Classroom!

Learning to Care for Our Planet!
Last week, the children had lots of fun learning more about recycling, reusing, and reducing waste!They got creative by turning recycled items into new and exciting creations, followed by a fun outdoor craft project.
We’ve also been busy composting. The children have been collecting all of our fruit and vegetable scraps, adding them to our compost, and turning it every day. They love checking on it and watching as the scraps slowly break down and transform into rich, healthy soil for our organic garden.

It’s wonderful to see the children learning that even small actions can make a big difference!

Summer has been filled with sunshine, smiles, and hands-on learning! ☀️🌈

Our little learners have been making colorful tie-dye shirts, preparing lemonade, exploring science by experimenting with ice, and discovering where healthy food comes from by harvesting fresh organic vegetables from our garden. 🌱🥕🧊🎨

Every activity has been an opportunity to spark creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning while making unforgettable summer memories. We can’t wait to see what adventures are next in our academic year starting next Monday !

A Special Visit from Our Local Heroes!

What an exciting day at Srim Academy Montessori School. We were thrilled to welcome our local firefighters, who visited our school with their amazing fire truck.

The children had the opportunity to meet real firefighters, learn about their important role in keeping our community safe, and explore the fire truck up close. They were fascinated by the equipment, enjoyed asking questions, and even got to spray the water with their hose.

Experiences like these help children connect classroom learning with the real world while building respect and appreciation for the people who serve our community every day.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful firefighters for taking the time to educate, inspire, and create unforgettable memories for our students.

A Visit from a Real-Life Hero! ❤️

Our children at Srim Academy were excited to welcome a special guest—a nurse—who shared all about her important role in caring for others. The children learned what nurses do, how they help people stay healthy, and even had the opportunity to listen to their own heartbeat and their friends’ heartbeat using a stethoscope!

Hands-on experiences like these inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help children learn about the people who make a difference in our community. A heartfelt thank you to our special guest for making learning so meaningful and memorable!

💛 Random Acts of Kindness, Big Hearts 💛

At Srim Academy, we believe that kindness is best learned through meaningful experiences. Last Friday, our children explored the importance of random acts of kindness and helping hands by preparing 65 care packages for individuals experiencing homelessness in downtown Atlanta.

The children carefully sorted the generous donations from our families—including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, wipes, lotion, and other essential items. With great care and enthusiasm, they packed one of each item into every bag, learning that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

On Sunday, while serving lunch to our unhoused neighbors, the children also handed out the care packages they had lovingly prepared. It was a beautiful opportunity to practice empathy, compassion, gratitude, and service to the community.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful families for your generous donations and support. Together, we are helping our children grow into caring, compassionate citizens who understand the joy of giving.

🌱 Farm to Table at Srim Academy 🌱

What a special day for our young gardeners! The children harvested potatoes from our organic garden and experienced every step of the journey from garden to plate. They carefully cleaned, scrubbed, and washed the potatoes before helping prepare them for a delicious potato fry served at lunch.

These meaningful hands-on experiences help children develop a deeper connection to nature, healthy eating, and an appreciation for the effort that goes into growing food. There is nothing quite like enjoying a meal made with ingredients you have grown yourself! 💚🥔

Hola! 🌎 As part of our language immersion program at Srim Academy, our toddlers are joyfully exploring the Spanish language through songs, stories, conversations, and hands-on activities. Early exposure to a second language helps build confidence, strengthens cognitive development, and fosters an appreciation for different cultures.

It is wonderful to watch our youngest learners absorb new words and phrases so naturally while having fun in a rich and engaging environment. 💛

Our End of the Year Celebration at Srim Academy was filled with joy, music, and togetherness 🌿 The children delighted everyone with a few beautiful songs, sharing their confidence, happiness, and love through music. The celebration was followed by a wonderful family picnic, giving our community time to connect, relax, and celebrate a beautiful year together.

We are so grateful for the memories made, the growth we witnessed, and the love shared throughout the year. 💛
