The Georgia Mineral Society (GMS) is the oldest and largest gem and mineral society in the Southeast.Founded in 1935, we are a completely volunteer non profit 501 (c)(3) organization. GMS is a member of the Southeast Federation of Mineralogical Societies (SFMS) and is associated with the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS).We are the founding member of the SFMS DMC Field Trip Com

mittee, a program that facilitates and encourages member clubs in the Southeast to share field trips.
