If I could share one piece of advice with you this week, it would be this, seek out people who are already living the kind of life you aspire to.
In this tech journey, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with tutorials, certifications, and endless “what next?” questions. But the truth is, growth often accelerates when you connect with those who’ve walked the road ahead of you.
Look around. Who is already excelling in the kind of role you want? A data analyst, a developer, a cloud engineer, or even a tech instructor like myself? These people hold clues you can learn from.
Study their experiences. Listen to their perspectives.
Pay attention to the steps they took from their struggles to their breakthroughs.
Mentorship doesn’t always mean sitting in a classroom with them. Sometimes it’s reading their books, following their posts, or watching their talks online. Other times, it’s reaching out and asking thoughtful questions.
The more you align yourself with the right voices, the faster you’ll rise.
Why? Because success leaves patterns. And those patterns can save you years of trial and error.
So as this week begin, make it intentional: identify one person living your dream life in tech, and learn something from them.
Your future self will thank you.
