The shocking gift we didn’t see coming in 2026!

2026 started off on a great note! Congratulations to me, my co Instructor, Faithful Okere , our students at Instructor Home and everyone who made this happen.

Selar Digital products and services sent us an amazing and tasty red velvet cake with butter cream icing on the 31st of December. We did not even know as it went to our school address.

Well, we are excited at being honored and appreciated for all the hard work we have put in.

In 2022, right after getting my American citizenship approval, I decided to do something great for my home country Nigeria 🇳🇬. The land of my parents and my birth country. I promised to teach 1000 students for free how to get remote jobs.

I dedicated once a month to teach them for hours. Eventually, I realized the problem was way beyond how to get a remote job but the lack of any form of digital or tech skills. I began the Data Entry and Tech Support program for free. I taught an extra 100 students for 4 months. They even won laptops and many exciting things. We gave out $4k scholarships to 4 students each in Nigeria to learn alongside the American students; Linda Inem, Esther Odoko, the late Édidiong Udoeyup and Ugochi Ahuakagha. All 3 students broke through in tech and now make very good money. With the help of my friend, Faithful, she taught them for free for over 4 months.

In 2023, our students championed that we make it a paid and permanent program even after I had crossed the 1000 students benchmark.

Our students discovered SELAR. A payment portal where people can pay with their local currency and we receive it in my own currency; dollars. We have used SELAR since 2023 and never had an issue with them. My funds get delivered on time and their customer service response time is amazing. They are also great with disputes and chargebacks.

SELAR is the only portal able to do what we truly need done which is be able to provide an easy way for our students to pay. Imagine my surprise to see that we were selected amongst the top 1 percent highest grossing sellers on SELAR. This is amazing!

Yes, it is true we have made millions of Naira (thousands of dollars) on SELAR but it couldn’t have been possible without you guys who told everyone about our course. My students who spread the news of their testimony and God for giving me the grace to teach people globally.

We love teaching. We do it for the passion because we believe teachers have the ability to change the future. Our teachings have changed lives, yielded growth and created hope for many. We will continue delivering and expanding.

Yesterday’s class at Instructor Home was honestly such a vibe.
We got into social media management in the most practical way possible, creating real posts, planning campaigns, writing catchy hooks, and seeing what it really takes to run social pages like pros.

It wasn’t just another class; it was fun, creative, and full of Individual work.
You could feel the excitement in the room as everyone participated, learned from each other, and started building real confidence.

If I could share one piece of advice with you this week, it would be this, seek out people who are already living the kind of life you aspire to.

In this tech journey, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with tutorials, certifications, and endless “what next?” questions. But the truth is, growth often accelerates when you connect with those who’ve walked the road ahead of you.

Look around. Who is already excelling in the kind of role you want? A data analyst, a developer, a cloud engineer, or even a tech instructor like myself? These people hold clues you can learn from.

Study their experiences. Listen to their perspectives.

Pay attention to the steps they took from their struggles to their breakthroughs.

Mentorship doesn’t always mean sitting in a classroom with them. Sometimes it’s reading their books, following their posts, or watching their talks online. Other times, it’s reaching out and asking thoughtful questions.

The more you align yourself with the right voices, the faster you’ll rise.

Why? Because success leaves patterns. And those patterns can save you years of trial and error.

So as this week begin, make it intentional: identify one person living your dream life in tech, and learn something from them.

Your future self will thank you.
