GAC is saddened to share that John Wood passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16 after a 21-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

John was a dear friend to many of us, a faithful member of the GAC community and Board of Trustees, and a GAC alumnus of the Class of 1986. His love for his family, his faith, and his commitment to GAC have blessed us deeply. We will miss him greatly.

While our hearts are heavy for Alicia Wood, a beloved K3 teacher at GAC, and their children, Ayden ‘26, Dillon ‘16, Addi ‘14, and all who loved John, we are grateful that his suffering has ended. John is no longer in pain, and we rest in the assurance that he is now in the presence of our Lord.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Greater Atlanta Christian School Performing Arts Center (Church Auditorium). A memorial service celebrating John’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the same location. Please us Spartan Stadium Entrance (second entrance).

Our seniors are counting down the days until graduation, and we asked them what they’re looking forward to most! 🎓

We can’t wait to see how the Class of 2026 is going to change the world, but we’re also cherishing the final months with them before they graduate.

You’re invited to GAC’s 4th Annual Alumni Easter Egg Hunt on March 28!🐣✝️

Join us to celebrate the Resurrection Season! Families with children aged infant - 5th grade are invited to a morning of fun at GAC.

Activities will include bouquet arranging by Bee Kind Blooms, owned by Sammy (Doris) Campbell ‘10, bouncy houses, crafts and watercolors, family Easter portraits, petting zoo, and a GIANT Easter Egg Hunt! Snacks and refreshments will include mini pancakes, make-your-own bunny trail mix, gourmet cotton candy, and coffee for grownups and hot chocolate for kids.

The Class of 2026 has less than 100 days until graduation! ☕️🎓 We celebrated with coffee & s’mores from the Alumni Office. We look forward to continuing the celebrations for these seniors leading up to their graduation day!

Class of 2026, it’s your year to celebrate!

On February 5, we will celebrate that the Class of 2026 has
100 Days ‘til Graduation! The Alumni Office is bringing the truck to campus for our 3rd annual celebration. The truck will offer espresso drinks, hot chocolate, and s’mores for seniors.

Don’t forget to come to the carpool lane outside the high school during the break or your lunch to get your free treats!
