We are so excited to welcome another amazing new St. Michael faculty member, Mrs. Julia Becker! She will be serving SMA as our Advancement Officer!
A Little About Me
My family and I lived in Chattanooga, TN, for the past 10 years, where I served as Development Director at the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer and later as Vice President of Media Operations at Firecrown Media. I’m thrilled to bring my experience in business development, event management, strategic planning, and community building to St. Michael Academy!
Where are you from?
I’m actually from right here in Nolensville, TN! I attended St. Edward School and Father Ryan High School. I’ve watched this area grow so much over the years, and I’m deeply passionate about expanding Catholic education in our region.
Favorite book?
This is such a hard one—I love to read! The book that has always stuck with me the most, though, is *East of Eden* by John Steinbeck.
Coffee order?
Black—and made at home by my wonderful husband, Phil. He’s a coffee connoisseur!
Favorite Saint or Bible verse?
My favorite saint is St. Joan of Arc. I often think of what she said while traveling through enemy territory, and it gives me courage:
*“I do not fear the soldiers, for my road is made open to me. And if the soldiers come, I have God, my Lord, who will know how to clear the route... It was for this that I was born!”*
She trusted in God’s plan and knew she had no need for fear. Her faith and fearlessness continue to inspire me!
Hidden talent or fun fact?
I walked the Camino de Santiago while six months pregnant with my son, James!
What are you most excited about this school year at St. Michael Academy?
I’m most excited to advance our mission and, through my role, help foster an environment where every child feels seen, known, and loved.
