What's on your summer picnic table?
๐Ÿ‰ Watermelon
๐Ÿ“ Strawberries
๐Ÿฅ’ Cucumbers
๐Ÿซ Blueberries

Honey bees help pollinate many of the foods we enjoy all summer long.
The next time your family shares a meal outdoors, take a moment to thank the tiny pollinators that help make those fresh fruits and vegetables possible.

Teaching children where their food comes from is a wonderful way to help them appreciate the incredible connections found in nature.

Every bee has an important job, and every child can become a champion for pollinators.

๐Ÿ Summer Bee Challenge!
This week, head outside for just 15 minutes and see how many pollinators you can spot.

Look for:
๐ŸŒผ Honey bees
๐Ÿฆ‹ Butterflies
๐Ÿ Bumble bees
๐ŸŒบ Flowers buzzing with life

Snap a photo (from a safe distance!) and share it in the comments. We'd love to see what nature is buzzing with in your neighborhood!

Helping children slow down and observe the natural world is one of the simplest ways to inspire curiosity, and every observation helps build a lifelong appreciation for nature.

Who will complete the challenge first?

What is your burning bee question this summer? ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ

Kids ask us everything from "Do bees sleep?" to "How do they talk to each other?" and "Do they miss us in winter?"

Our Ask a Beekeeper online forum is a safe, fun space where teachers and students can bring their curiosity straight to our bee experts, for free.

Drop your students' questions in the comments or send us a DM. We might feature them in an upcoming Ask a Beekeeper video this school year.

What if your next summer picnic became a tiny pollinator lesson? ๐Ÿงบ๐Ÿ

This July, try a "Pollinator Picnic Challenge" with your kids:
Fill your basket with foods that depend on bees and other pollinators (think berries, apples, cucumbers, almonds).

Make a simple list together: "Which foods are here because a bee visited a flower?"
Share what you discover and tag us, we'd love to see your pollinator picnic!

Moments like this help kids feel how deeply we're connected to the natural world, one bite at a time.

Stay tuned as we get ready to bring this VR bee adventure and our Bee Liner traveling bee-mobile to classrooms across the country.
