And just like that… we’re back! ❤️

Our classrooms are once again filled with busy hands, curious minds, meaningful work, and the joyful sounds of children learning together.

The first week back is always a special one as the returning children settle into their classrooms, reconnect with friends, meet new teachers, and begin the work of a new school year.

We are so grateful to have our community together again and are looking forward to receiving new children next week!

What a wonderful first week! 🌿📚✨

🌱 Looking for a meaningful internship for the 2026–2027 school year?

Renaissance Montessori School is offering two part-time internship opportunities for those interested in Montessori education, working with children, Catholic education, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, or school administration.

✨ Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Intern
Work in our Atrium environments, prepare materials, and gain hands-on experience with Montessori-based faith formation.

✨ General Montessori School Intern
Experience the many facets of a thriving Catholic Montessori school—from Toddler and Primary through Elementary, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, and school administration.

These internships run September 2026–May 2027 and offer flexible hours, hands-on experience, and a travel stipend based on days worked.

For the right candidate, an internship can be the beginning of a career in Montessori education, with potential future employment and professional development opportunities.

Sometimes, unexpected opportunities become wonderful blessings.

Due to a recent change in enrollment, we have two openings for 3 year olds in our Primary Montessori classroom for the upcoming school year.

Our Primary environment is a place where children develop independence, concentration, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning through purposeful work, meaningful relationships, and a joyful Catholic community.

If you have been considering Renaissance Montessori School, it is not too late to begin the conversation.

We would love to welcome your family for a visit, answer your questions, and help you discover what makes a Catholic Montessori education so unique.

🎉 We are almost there!

Because of your incredible generosity, we've raised $9,387 of our $10,000 goal for our Elementary Classroom Renewal Project!

✨ The new floors are being installed.
✨ Labor for our new classroom kitchen has been donated.

That means every dollar we raise now goes directly toward finishing the kitchen and snack area that will help our Elementary students grow in independence through practical life, food preparation, and caring for their environment.

We're just $613 away from reaching our goal!

Would you help us get across the finish line?

What a wonderful way to begin the summer camp.

With beautiful weather all week, our days were filled with gardening, practical work, watercolor painting outdoors, visits to the chicken coop, and countless moments exploring the natural world around us.

At Renaissance Montessori, summer camp isn't simply about keeping children entertained—it's about giving them the freedom to do meaningful work, discover new interests, and delight in the beauty of God's creation.

Whether watering the garden, carefully hammering with real tools, painting beneath the summer sky, or caring for living things, each experience invites children to grow in independence, confidence, concentration, and wonder.

We believe childhood should include muddy hands, fresh air, unhurried exploration, and the joy of discovering something new each day.

We're already looking forward to another week of adventure! 🌿☀️

We are excited to share some wonderful progress on our Elementary Classroom Renewal Project!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have already received $6,000 in donations, and a flooring supplier has generously agreed to provide our flooring materials at cost. Because of this support, we are officially able to move forward with new floors in the classroom this summer!

We are deeply grateful for the encouragement and partnership that has made this possible already.

As we continue the renewal, we are now focusing on creating a small classroom kitchen and snack area to better support independence and practical life in the Elementary environment.

We are currently looking for:
• a kitchen range
• a wall-mounted venting microwave
• butcher block countertop materials

If you are able to contribute financially, donate materials, or help connect us with these items, we would be so grateful.

This classroom has been a deeply loved space for many years, and it is beautiful to see our community helping thoughtfully renew it for the children who will continue to grow and work there in the years ahead.

This week, the children explored Colombian culture through food as we prepared traditional breakfast favorites together, including arepas, bocadillos, and pandebonos. 🇨🇴

Cooking in the classroom is about much more than making food. Through measuring, mixing, pouring, and preparing, children strengthen coordination, concentration, independence, and cooperation.

And perhaps the best surprise of all—the children absolutely loved the food.

Sharing meals together invites conversation, connection, and openness to new experiences. These moments help children grow not only in practical skills, but also in appreciation for the richness and diversity of the world around them.

In Montessori, even cooking becomes meaningful work: hands-on, joyful, and deeply connected to real life. ✨

Summer arrived early this week, and we welcomed it with open arms—and open doors. ☀️🌿

With warm weather and sunshine inviting us outside, the children spent as much time as possible in the garden watering plants, picking strawberries, observing new growth, and digging their hands happily into the soil.

But the biggest stars of the week were undoubtedly the cicadas and beetles.

The children have been listening to their chirps, searching for shed exoskeletons, watching them move through the grass and trees, and asking thoughtful questions:
Where do they come from?
Where do they go?

This is what Montessori learning looks like in action.

The outdoor environment becomes a living classroom where curiosity naturally leads to observation, conversation, and discovery. Back inside, the children continued their investigations through books, discussions, and work exploring insect life cycles.

Last week butterflies, this week cicadas and beetles—we are ending the school year surrounded by wonder, fresh air, and the joy of discovering the world God created. ✨

MAKE A DIFFERENCE ❤️

For many years, our Elementary classroom has been a deeply loved and active environment where children have learned, grown, explored, and built independence each day.

This summer, we are undertaking a focused renewal of the space to ensure it continues to reflect the beauty, order, and purpose of a prepared Montessori environment.

Your support will help fund:
✨ New flooring
✨ Furniture refreshes
✨ Kitchen improvements

In Montessori education, the environment is a teacher. A calm and thoughtfully prepared space supports focus, responsibility, independence, and joy in learning.

Much of the labor for this project is being generously donated, allowing nearly all funds to go directly toward materials for the classroom.

Every gift — no matter the size — makes a lasting impact.
