Real reasons why breaking bad habits is so difficult:
The need to be all-new

People who are looking to break bad habits feel they need to re-create themselves in order to break themselves of their bad habits, while the truth is the complete opposite.
These people actually need to go back to who they were before they developed the bad habit.

Real reasons why breaking bad habits is so difficult:
Stress

Anything that stresses us out can lead to adopting and cementing bad habits.
When a person is stressed about something, it is easy to give in to a bad habit because the mental resources required to fight them are not available.
Stress plays such a huge role in this that we commonly find a person who had previously managed to kick a bad habit fall back into the old ways because they felt their stress couldn’t be managed any other way.

Real reasons why breaking bad habits is so difficult:
Making upward comparisons

Comparisons are a bad habit that many of us have been exposed to since we were children. Parents might have compared us to siblings, teachers may have compared us to classmates, and bosses could compare us to past and present employees.
The people who have developed the bad habit of comparing themselves to others have been given incorrect yardsticks for measurement from the start.
These people will always find it difficult to break out of this bad habit because there will always be someone who has it better than they do, a better house, better car, better job, higher income and so on.

Habits of ineffective people you should avoid
Complaining a lot

Highly ineffective people have a pessimistic view on life

They spend more time and resources to complain about what's wrong, blame someone for it, and feel bad for themselves, rather than talk of ways to fix things.

We will make mountains out of molehills, so they like to believe they have no responsibility whatsoever for their own state of life.

Ways a hobby can make better at your day job:
Building connections

When your life is about work, things can get pretty lonely. A hobby can help you not only communicate with yourself, but also with others.

Hobbies are going to let you build a group. For example, if you're a father, your hobby might make model train sets with your son, creating a deeper connection and bond.

When you work alone, your hobby can encourage you to interact with others and make friends if you don't have a community of coworkers.

Relationship is a important force that enriches your life. Better quality of life means greater overall happiness that will serve you well in the workplace and beyond.

Things people should never waste time doing
Worrying about things you can’t control

Productive people realize that worrying gets you absolutely nowhere in life, especially if you can’t do anything about a situation.
So turn your thoughts to action-based activities.
Focus on things you can get done.

Everyday Review

This practice can encourage self-reflection and provide a great way over time to track your progress towards a goal. When you're a writer you 're getting bonus points. The blank screen will prompt you to turn up. Just be careful not to ruminate, without the skill of learning.

Write a short early-day entry on what you are doing and what will make it a success.

Study what you've done, what went and at the end of the day what didn't work. You should ask yourself a series of questions, such as, "What good did I do this day?" To measure your success, and to decide what to work on next.
