ATPI 2026

I just realized these were never posted! The kids worked well together and put in the work for the competitions. I (Messer) don’t know all the results but we did come home with home to find out we had some hardware and top 10 placements coming our way!

Final day. A day of traveling! But we made it home. It was a great day with NHS Film Students, cast and crew! We will certainly miss this group of seniors but the future is bright for NHS Film!

Did you know there were a total of 691 films entered into the 2026 Young Film Makers Festival?
Of those entered your Nocona HS Film team brought home a 4th place medal in the narrative category at the State Festival!
We are incredibly proud of this group and their teacher Rob Norman!

Thank you all again for the help in making goody bags and sending us to Austin with everything we could want or need!

Young Filmakers Festival - State Film Trip 2026
We are thankful for a community of supports who have given goodies, made cookies and cake balls, gifted handmade personalized gifts!
We started the day loading the vehicles and snacking on our first batch of treats.
Made a Buccees pit stop and arrived at our room. We kept the Chuy tradition alive but decided to eat in the lobby so they kids had more time to enjoy games, pool, the gym and we could listen to our boys become BI District CHAMPS!

We are ready to watch the qualifying films from across the state tomorrow and are so proud of what these kids have accomplished!
Parents you should know your children are making Nocona proud and being respectful young men and women!

It’s that time again! These students and their fearless leaders are keeping the film tradition alive! Let’s send them off in style!

This makes the 18th State Final appearance! Of those 18 appearances they have brought home 2 bronze Medals, 5 silver medals and 4 Gold Championship Medals! We have seniors on this team who have made 6 state finals appearances! These kids have put in countless hours, hours that many never see much less understand. They deserve all the recognition we can give them! Let’s show up for them!

We posted an Amazon wishlist for the State Qualifying Film Team and the very next day started receiving boxes in the mail! Thank you all for supporting these kids and making them feel so special!

I don’t know how many times in a row, but some of the seniors on this team are 4x Film State Finalists, and that is an amazing achievement!
