🍎 Second Grade Field Trip to Minnetrista! 🍎

Our second graders had a wonderful time at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens for the Johnny Appleseed and Cider Pressing Tour!

Students learned about John Chapman (Johnny Appleseed) and explored the history and process of making apple cider. They watched a modern machine crush and press fresh apples before trying an old-fashioned cider press themselves—and, of course, enjoying a taste of the fresh cider they made!

The day also included exploring a small apple orchard and learning about the insects it attracts. Students sampled different varieties of apples and used their senses to compare and contrast them. Finally, they learned about the life cycle of an apple tree and reviewed what apple trees need to grow and thrive.

It was a fun-filled day of learning, exploring, and experiencing science and history firsthand! 🍏

Our students worked hard all summer to hit their reading goals, and they got to celebrate with a special treat at Forest Park! 🎉

🎬 120 PEOPLE. ONE LEGACY FAMILY. ❤️

What a night! Our Family Movie Night brought 120 members of our Legacy community together for an evening of laughter, connection, and family fun.

We’re so thankful for the families who came out and made the night special. Events like this are a reminder that Legacy is more than a school—we’re a community.

The Grizzly Den is more than a competition—it’s a year-long opportunity for our students to build community, show school spirit, serve others, encourage one another, and live out what it means to be a Grizzly.

Throughout the year, our four groups will compete in challenges, earn points, celebrate victories, and create memories together. But at the end of the day, it’s about so much more than who wins.
