Today is the first day of fall classes! πŸ‚

Our Student Government Association leaders helped kick off the morning by passing out donuts and coffee to welcome students back to campus. β˜•πŸ©

Students were greeted with welcome messages on our front doors, and staff were on hand to help make sure everyone could easily find their classrooms.

We are so glad to welcome our students back! πŸ’š

Today, our campus celebrated our 6th annual Convocation (our academic kickoff for the year)! πŸŽ‰

The event centered around the theme "Every Student. Every Experience. Every Opportunity." and included staff and faculty voices, an interactive game featuring last year’s metrics, an inspiring keynote from Gavin Rulon of Beck's Hybrids on "The Human Advantage in an AI World," a leadership panel on what will move our students forward, and celebrations of our newest team members.

We’re so excited for another academic year of helping every student move forward. πŸ’šπŸ—

β€œIf something is uncomfortable, you should do it anyways.”

In the newest episode, Dr. Rachel Kartz, PhD, Chancellor of Ivy Tech Hamilton County's campus, shares some great advice for anyone looking to learn, grow, or find their next opportunity: talk to people.

And not just the people already in your network. Dr. Kartz encourages students and professionals to reach outside their existing circles, connect with people in careers they’re interested in, and simply start a conversation.

You never know where one conversation β€” or one introduction β€” might lead.

What makes a college campus feel like a college campus?

For the past five years, Dr. Rachel Kartz, PhD, Chancellor of Ivy Tech Hamilton County campus, and her team have been intentional about listening to students and creating a space where they actually want to spend their time β€” from places to study and hang out to spaces to connect between classes.

Jack Russell, OneZone President and CEO, got to see that experience firsthand during his recent visit to campus.

In the newest podcast episode, Jack and Dr. Kartz talk about the growth of Ivy Tech in Hamilton County, the needs of local students, and the role the campus plays in our community’s workforce.
