Dear Family Place Families and beyond,
For 18 years, The Family Place Early Enrichment Academy has had the privilege of caring for children, supporting parents, employing early childhood professionals, and becoming part of the lives of hundreds of families.
Today, we are asking our Family Place community to come together—not out of fear, but out of a shared commitment to protect something that has meant so much to so many.
Child Care Is Changing
Across Indiana and throughout the country, child care programs are facing significant financial challenges. The cost of staffing, food, insurance, facilities, utilities, supplies, compliance, training, and simply maintaining the quality families deserve continues to rise.
At the same time, the child care industry has experienced reductions and changes in government funding and subsidy resources that once helped programs absorb some of those increasing costs.
Unfortunately, many child care providers have reached the point where they could no longer make the numbers work. Programs have reduced services, eliminated classrooms, increased tuition, and, in some cases, closed altogether.
We refuse to simply wait and hope that these challenges pass us by.
We are choosing to be proactive.
We are pursuing opportunities, strengthening enrollment, developing community partnerships, managing expenses, seeking additional funding, and exploring every responsible avenue available to help ensure that The Family Place remains strong and continues serving children and families for years to come.
Something Special Has Happened
One of our longstanding Family Place parents recently stepped forward and said, essentially:
“I want to help the school that helped my family.”
This parent knows The Family Place beyond tuition, classrooms, meals, and daily child care. Her family experienced firsthand what it means when a school truly becomes part of your village.
And now, she wants to help ensure that other families continue to have that same village.
She has taken the initiative to help lead an effort to support The Family Place and has written a personal letter to our families, friends, alumni, and community explaining why she believes this school is worth supporting.
We believe her story deserves to be heard.
Will You Stand With Us?
We want to create a united front of current families, former families, staff, alumni, friends, businesses, and community partners who believe quality child care is worth protecting.
Supporting this effort does not necessarily mean making a financial contribution.
You may be able to help by sharing the campaign with your friends and family, sending it to coworkers, connecting us with a local business, referring a new family to The Family Place, sharing it through social media, or simply helping our story reach someone who has the ability and desire to help.
Every share matters. Every referral matters. Every connection matters. Every contribution matters.
Most importantly, there is no obligation or expectation for our current families to donate. You already support The Family Place by entrusting us with your children and paying tuition. We are simply inviting you to learn more about this parent-led effort and, if you believe in what we are doing, help us spread the word.

There you will find a personal letter from one of our longstanding Family Place parents, more information about why this effort was started, our fundraising goal, and the different ways you can join us in supporting the future of The Family Place.
Even if you cannot give, we are asking you to SHARE.
One family may know a business owner.
One teacher may know a community leader.
One grandparent may know an organization looking for a worthy cause.
One former family may remember what The Family Place meant during a difficult season.
And one share may reach exactly the person we need.
This Is About Protecting What We Have Built Together
We want to be clear: this is not a closure announcement.
This is about doing the work before an organization reaches that point.
We have watched too many child care programs struggle silently until families suddenly receive the devastating message that their school can no longer continue.
That is not how we want to lead.
We believe transparency, action, community, faith, and partnership are stronger than silence.
The Family Place has weathered many seasons during the past 18 years, and through every one of them, our mission has remained the same: serve children, strengthen families, support our staff, and provide an environment where children can learn, play, grow, and be loved.
That mission is worth fighting for.
So today, we are asking our entire Family Place community to stand with us.
Click the link. Read her story. Learn more about the effort. Share it with someone. Make a connection. Give if you are able. Pray for us. Refer a family. Help us tell our story.

There are many ways to stand with The Family Place.
Together, we can help ensure that this school continues opening its doors each morning, employing great people, serving working families, and caring for another generation of children.
We are stronger when we stand together.
