Congratulations to the Nixa Crimson Corps on earning a spot as a Finalist at the Renegade Review in Tulsa OK. When the schedule for this event came out, the line up of bands was incredible. It featured the most bands in the history of this prestigious event and there was so much quality! Being in the top 12 out of 24 bands was a great result! We all should be very proud!
The band learned a lot about itself during the day. Our prelim performance wasn’t our best, which showed that each performance is a privilege and an opportunity to learn how to be our best. The students did a great job of putting together a much stronger performance for Finals. As we continue down our path towards our next performances, the day can serve as a spring board for even more growth and excitement!
This next weekend the band gets a bit of rest before heading to St Louis for the BOA Super Regional for their Oct 24 performance at 8:45 am and then finishing their competition season at MSU’s Ozarko on Oct 31.
And it must be mentioned that often I sit back and am in awe of all the people that dedicate their time and effort to make these experiences happen for the students. The parents are absolutely amazing. It can’t accurately be described…the level of planning, sweat, and love that is shown to the students and staff. Parents, you are seen.
