This is heartbreaking, as parents and caregivers safe sleep has to practiced every time the baby is asleep, including naps! Infants should only sleep in an approved bassinet or crib, never left to nap in swings, car seats, bouncers, or beds.

This year, 10 infants have died because of unsafe sleeping conditions, which is up 150% from all of 2021.
If you're a parent or caregiver, there are steps you can take to prevent future sleep-related deaths.
⚠ Remember the ABCs ⚠
Infants should be placed ALONE, on their BACK, and in a CRIB for naps and nights until their first birthday. The sleeping surface must be firm and free from toys, blankets, pillows bumper pads and any other accessories.
The only thing that should be in baby's crib or bassinet is the baby.
