My name is Breanna Donnell, I am the owner/operator of Chickadee Child Care, LLC located in west Nixa. I am a married mother of 2 and have been providing in home child care since 2012 for ages ranging from 6 weeks through school age. My home based daycare has an 1,100 sqft dedicated childrens space, equipped with full kitchen, restroom, nap room and lots of play space used exclusively for daycare.

I am so thankful for the families that have entrusted their children to my care! Reflecting today over the past 10 years, I have cared for 41 children, many of those from infancy to school age and their siblings as they have come along! I love building these relationships and nurturing families as they grow. Thank you, thank you! Cheers to 10 years!

This is heartbreaking, as parents and caregivers safe sleep has to practiced every time the baby is asleep, including naps! Infants should only sleep in an approved bassinet or crib, never left to nap in swings, car seats, bouncers, or beds.

This year, 10 infants have died because of unsafe sleeping conditions, which is up 150% from all of 2021.

If you're a parent or caregiver, there are steps you can take to prevent future sleep-related deaths.

⚠ Remember the ABCs ⚠

Infants should be placed ALONE, on their BACK, and in a CRIB for naps and nights until their first birthday. The sleeping surface must be firm and free from toys, blankets, pillows bumper pads and any other accessories.

The only thing that should be in baby's crib or bassinet is the baby.

Giving controlled choices may be the single most useful tool parents have for managing life with young children. It really is almost a magic wand. 🧚‍♀️

Instead of managing your child's resistance with force -- which creates a power struggle, and, ultimately, a more resistant child -- giving choice you affirm his right to some control, but within the bounds you set.
The result: A happier, more cooperative child, who knows you're on his side.🙌❤️
