One of our favorite parts of the week has returnedโ€”๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ž๐ฅ! Every week, our students ages ๐Ÿโ€“๐Ÿ’ gather together for a special time of worship, Bible stories, prayer, and lessons that help build strong hearts and strong character.

Over the past three weeks, we've learned some wonderful lessons:

This week, we focused on the power of our words and how kindness can brighten someone's day. By speaking with love and encouragement, we reflect God's love to those around us.

At Morning Star Academy , we believe that nurturing a child's faith is just as important as nurturing their minds. We're so thankful for these weekly opportunities to help our students grow in God's love while learning values they'll carry with them for years to come.

Since this is our "๐๐จ ๐•๐š๐ง๐ฌ ๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค" while our friends at Thrive Church are away at Church Camp, we decided to bring the adventure to Morning Star Academy !

Today, our ๐’๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ students and our ๐Ÿโ€“๐Ÿ’-๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ-๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐œ๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฌ enjoyed a special ๐™๐จ๐จ ๐„๐ง๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ presented by the Dickerson Park Zoo .

This week's program, "๐…๐ฎ๐ซ, ๐…๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ & ๐’๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ," taught our students all about the different types of animal body coverings and why they're so important. The children had the opportunity to:

๐Ÿน Meet and pet a sweet chinchilla
๐Ÿข Get an up-close look at a box turtle

There were so many smiles, curious questions, and excited faces as our students learned about wildlife and discovered ways we can all help protect animal habitats.
