Teacher and Tutor friends: I took this OG Refresher course for K-2 through the Stern Center and it was outstanding! It covers the most current scope and sequence, assessments, and mastery criteria, plus includes an abundance of electronic resources. It says it’s a 3 hour webinar, but it’s actually 5.5. If anyone is looking for the latest updates in the OG world, I highly recommend it. I’m planning on taking the next class too which is for grades three and beyond.

The NLC is excited to announce that registration is now open for our fall class for homeschoolers!

“Morning Mix– Homeschoolers Only”: Grades 3-5. Meets weekly on Thursdays from 9-11:30 this fall.

This weekly morning program features some of the best of what the NLC has to offer! We have created a curriculum that is fun and supports the whole child. Social-emotional learning and executive function skills development are central to the curriculum, and “read aloud” is used as a platform for learning about self awareness and social skills. Each week will feature a special activity that nourishes the creative spirit, and may include yoga and movement, art, outdoor exploration, or writing. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity for fun and learning!

Hello friends of the NLC! I wanted to let you know about an amazing opportunity for fun and learning we are offering at the Niwot Learning Collective this summer. We're running two one-week sessions of our "Study Ninjas--Zen style" class (Executive Function skills infused with social-emotional learning). Classes are small, interactive, and fun!

What can I say. Our Six week “Study Ninjas” class was absolutely amazing! These kids are poised for success with their newly acquired study skills! We feel so fortunate to have had worked with such a smart, kind group of kids.

For one of our culminating activities, the class had to use their planning and time management skills, along with a heavy dash of creativity, to create “egg-transporters” that would carry eggs across a finish line without breaking. Their imaginative and functional creations were nothing short of impressive!!
