📚 Welcome Back, Wildcats! 🐾

We are so excited to welcome all of our students and families back for another wonderful school year! We want to remind everyone about a few important bell and transportation schedule changes:

⏰ Morning Arrival
• Warning bell: 7:15 AM
• Tardy bell: 7:20 AM
• Students must be in their classrooms by 7:20 AM to be counted present and on time.

🚌 Bus Routes & Times
Bus schedules and pickup/drop-off times have changed. Please visit our school website to access the link where you can look up your child’s bus route and transportation times.

🏫 Dismissal
• Dismissal begins at 1:50 PM.

🚶‍♀️ Parent Walk-In Reminder
Today was the last day that parents may walk students into the building. We will have plenty of staff members available each morning to greet students and help them get to their classrooms and where they need to be.

Thank you for your patience and support as we get everyone settled into our new routines. We are looking forward to an amazing year at Nitro Elementary!

We are so grateful to Nitro Church of God for generously donating backpacks and school supplies to our school! Our students and families were happy to take advantage of these wonderful resources. Thank you for helping make sure our Wildcats are ready for a great school year! 🎒📚

iPads are surprisingly good at finding the floor. Chargers are even better at disappearing.

The optional KCS Student iPad Damage Waiver has been updated for the 2026–27 school year:

💵 $25 per student—down from $40
✅ No deductible for covered incidents—the old $49 incident fee is gone
📱 Covers accidental iPad damage and one accidental iPad loss per school year
🔌 Covers lost or damaged chargers and cases

To enroll, complete one form per student and return it with payment to your student’s school within 14 days of their first day of school—or within 14 days of receiving the device.

Participation is completely optional. Full details and the enrollment form are included on the attached flyer.
