Our first destination in our itinerary is complete ✅ 🇲🇦

The last two weeks our Kiddos traveled across Morocco:

Places we visited:

Art we created:
🎨 colored and put together the Moroccan flag
🎨 painted The Blue City…BLUE!
🎨 made tin foil boats (and tested them in water)
🎨 cut out and paste Moroccan landmarks for a collage

Music we learned:

🎶 Hada Chra Bida

We are so excited to announce that Miss A is joining our team!

Coming to us from The Doane Stuart School, Miss A brings her love for preschool education and her love for the outdoors to our program!

Miss A has her BA (and will be working on her Masters) in Educational Studies and Early Childhood Education. She also holds an infant/toddler CDA (Child Development Associate) credential from 5 years as a lead toddler teacher!

“I love teaching young children because their minds are like sponges at this age. In fact, research shows that 90% of a child’s brain development occurs during the first five years. When children are given a safe, nurturing environment to learn, the possibilities are endless. Furthermore, when children have extended periods of time to explore outdoor environments, they gain valuable sensory input that informs their understanding of the world around them. This leads to more emotionally regulated children who can successfully navigate their everyday experiences. This teaching philosophy is a big part of why I’ve chosen this career, and why I continue showing up each day.”

We have an unexpected spot available in our PreK-3 program!

Our PreK-3 curriculum consists of age appropriate math, writing, literacy, and phonics sprinkled with some Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy (SLP), and manners 😊.

We are a licensed daycare facility (classified as Group Family Daycare) with a primary focus on preschool education and outdoor play.

Hours: M-F 7:30am - 5:00pm
Rate: $350/week
Age of all kiddos in program: 3yrs old

A camp that’s all about the dogs! We are big animal lovers - but it’s no secret we love dogs!! (Has anyone ever noticed our door mat that says “Dogs welcome! People tolerated”?)

Operation At Ease Inc is a cause that’s very near and dear to our hearts. They pair shelter dogs with veterans & first responders, and provide a free guided training program for PTS & light mobility service dogs.

I know some of ya’ll might be looking for something for your kids to do during February break - spend it on the dogs!

Schenectady County has declared a State of Emergency due to severe winter weather. All non-essential County offices, including all Schenectady County Public Library branches, will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, and are expected to reopen Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Department of Social Services: Closed, with on-call staff available for emergent needs at (518) 382-0383.

Travel is restricted to essential personnel only. Please limit travel so crews can keep roads clear and the community safe.

Our beloved Mimi Judy Shell Burns is looking to reduce her hours so she can FINALLY start enjoying her retirement!

We are looking to hire another full-time assistant to join our family with Megan and Jeanette here at The Kiddo Classroom, LLC 😊

We are the Capital Region’s premiere outdoor program, and our 1 acre landscape proves it! We spend a minimum of 3 hours a day outside (weather permitting of course) so the love of the outdoors is a MUST.

We are excited to launch our PreK-3 curriculum in January 2026! We will be blending hands-on learning with outdoor play.

Last week we had the amazing opportunity to host Whispering Willow Wild Care for our summer camp girls and our kiddos!!

We learned about barn owls, screech owls, hawks, ravens and crows! Joyce & Marina were absolutely fantastic 😊 if you are looking for a great educational show, give them a call!
