Just barely squeezed in before the weather!

Doug Wallace came by yesterday and did an awesome walk-around of Ed Wilsey’s P-40, which we still have on the property.

I’ll be attending the Delta Air Lines tech ops Veterans event this week with this aircraft and then head on to the Cullman, Alabama fly-in on Saturday.

We will finish out the airshow season Nov 8-10 at the 2024 Warbirds Over Monroe Air Show!

For the SHOP ‘n SAVE Westmoreland County Airshow airshow this weekend, Aug 16-18, 2024, we’ll be using our sister-in-crime-ship “The Jacky C” from the American Airpower Museum as a stand-in stunt-double! We’re very much looking forward to being back for this awesome Airshow!

It's on!!! It's time ot register for The Fall 2024 SkyRanch Shootout and Acro camp!

This time we're adding novice aerobatic training sessions. Both Super Decathlon and T-6 aircraft will be available for those that don't bring their own aerobatic aircraft.

The surface Aerobatic box will be open all day, every day! Both for evaluation and practice.

Mike Killian and Ricardo von Puttkammer will be heading up the best aviation photography training camp on the east coast, day and night photography. Action, static, air to air, as well as Milky Way studies. The list of aircraft as photography subjects is developing. Stand by for further announcements.

This is both for the experienced aerobatic pilots pursuing an airshow career as well as pilots wanting to get started in aerobatics. We'll have several seminars hosted by some of the best in the industry.

We're hoping for the ICAS - International Council of Air Shows to attend and bring us up to date on the latest in airshows and airshow flying. We'll update you as we get closer.

Airplane camping and general camping/RV'ing for photographers is included in the registration.

Various activities are planned, such as night runs, fireworks, bonfires, evening entertainment etc. This is a fun filled educational weekend you won't want to miss!

‘Greatest Show on Turf’ – Warbird Night Engine Run at Geneseo - Vintage Aviation News Hosted by the National Warplane Museum for over 40 years, ‘Greatest Show on Turf’ airshow combines a hometown feel with spectacular aerial displays. It honors aviation history while showcasing the best of modern aviation to enthusiastic crowds.

Thom Richard is tentatively scheduled to arrive with P-40 Warhawk American Dream on Tuesday! It’s a true WWII combat veteran airframe! On a mission in 1943, 1st Lt. Joel Thorvaldson with the 8th Air Force was engaged with the Japanese north of Lae, New Guinea. He took out a Zero fighter & a Betty bomber, before being shot down himself. Thorvaldson survived behind enemy lines for 5 days, & was rescued by the Australians! The plane was later salvaged & eventually restored into a 2-seater.
