Fire Choir has officially started and our Sparks have began learning new songs and performing led by Choir Director, Mr. Sadlowski!

FIRE CHOIR FUN FACTS 🎶

🔥 Open to 2nd–5th grade Sparks
🎤 Open to students of all experience levels
🎵 Students grow in confidence, teamwork & a love of music
⛪ They share their voices at Masses and other special events throughout the year
🎄 They perform at the Christmas Concert
🎭 Fire Choir takes the stage for the spring musical!
🎼 Repertoire includes traditional and contemporary Catholic hymns as well as a mix of modern uplifting, inspirational, and age-appropriate secular music

A whole lot of singing, growing, and having fun along the way! 🎹

October Virtue: Diligence ✍🏽🍂🌳

Our 3rd graders will be presenting this month’s virtue at our all school Virtue Assembly. They came up with this definition!

“Diligence is the virtue of doing our work the right way, consistently and with effort.”

This month, our students are practicing the virtue of diligence by putting care into their work, persevering when things get difficult, and giving their best effort.

Faith grows in the little, everyday moments. A hard assignment, a classroom responsibility, or trying again when something doesn’t come easily can all be opportunities to grow in the virtue of diligence and offer our work to God.

Helping students grow in faith and virtue, while learning to make the most of their everyday moments is part of the mission of an Embers education 🍁💛📚

👏 High Fives, Big Smiles, and Embers Spirit!

Our halls were filled with excitement as our whole school came together to cheer on our Fall athletes during Hallway High Fives!

From teammates to classmates, these moments remind us that encouragement matters and that a strong community is built by celebrating one another.

We’re proud of our athletes and grateful for the Embers spirit that shines through every day!

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels and the anniversary of the founding of Opus Dei — two beautiful reminders of the vision that inspires the mission of Embers Academy.

Imbued with the spirit of Opus Dei, Embers helps students recognize that they are beloved children of God and that the ordinary moments of each day are opportunities to grow in faith, virtue, and holiness, and ultimately, sainthood.

We remind them, too, that their Guardian Angels are always with them, guiding and protecting them 🪽

May our Guardian Angels watch over our students, families, and the entire Embers community! Happy Feast Day 🌱☀️🫧

Thank you to all of our Embers families who joined us for Curriculum Night! 🍎

It was a wonderful evening filled with connection, conversation, and a deeper look into the learning journey ahead. Pablo Boville, our headmaster, shared the school’s academic and Catholic identity in his introductory remarks as well talking about the importance of partnership with our parents 🤝

Our teachers then shared their classroom goals, expectations, and the many ways they will guide and support our students throughout the year 📚✏️📓

We believe the best education happens when families and teachers work together. This partnership allows us to support each child not only academically, but also in their growth as a person of faith and character. We are so grateful for the trust and partnership of our families. Together, we are building a community where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.

September Virtue Assembly 🍂

Here at Embers, we believe forming the heart and soul is just as important as forming the mind. Each month, our students come together to learn, reflect, and grow in virtue.

Our recent Virtue Assembly focused on Respect & Responsibility, with our 5th graders leading the way and sharing what these virtues look like in our classrooms, our friendships, and our daily actions.

Our 5th graders came up with this definition:
“Respect means treating ourselves and others with kindness, care, and consideration, while honoring people, their opinions, and their belongings. Responsibility means doing what we are supposed to do, making good choices, and being someone others can trust and depend on.”

We are proud of our students for striving to live out these virtues each day and grateful for the ways our faculty and families partner with us in forming these young people of strong character 🌳🍁🍂

Rain moved us indoors, but it didn’t dampen the fun! 🍦☔️ From ice cream and balloon art to games and coloring, our Embers all school Ice Cream Social was a sweet success! Thank you to all who came and to our hard working parent volunteers. We couldn’t do it without you!
