🤠 Yeehaw! What a night at our JELV Hoedown! 🤠

We had an incredible **845 family members** join us for a night full of fun, laughter, dancing, and making memories together! 💕🐴

A HUGE thank you to our **60 amazing staff members** and **20+ community partners** who helped make this special night possible! We are so thankful for everyone who came out, volunteered, supported, and helped make our Hoedown such a success! 🌟

Our JELV family sure knows how to have a good time! 💙🤠

We LOVE our custodial team! So much of their work is behind the scenes, but our school wouldn’t be the same without all the hard work, care, and dedication they put in every day. From keeping our school clean and welcoming to helping everything run smoothly, they make such a big difference in our school family. We are so thankful for everything they do for our students and staff. Help us show them some love and appreciation! 💙💚💛❤️ We have some amazing people on our custodial team! Mr. David who was JELV classified employee of the year and Ms. Mandy who was our district classified of the year! Help us give them a warm thank you!

🍎 Apple Day in Mrs. Isbell and Mrs. Alcott’s class! 🍎

September 26th is Johnny Appleseed Day, and these kiddos had the sweetest time celebrating! They made a delicious apple snack, created apple crafts, and put their taste buds to the test with an apple taste test!

These little learners are truly the apples of Mrs. Isbell and Mrs. Alcott’s eyes! 🍏

Orange Pod 🍊 closed out the week soaking up the beautiful sunshine with a picnic lunch outside! ☀️🧺 Our kiddos enjoyed some fresh air, good food, and even better company with their friends. What a sweet way to end the week! 🧡

Ms. Amanda’s preschool friends are learning that growing strong friendships takes teamwork, kindness, and lots of practice! Her friends worked on social skills, building connections, and having fun together in the gross motor room, playground, and their classroom. So many smiles, so much movement, and lots of opportunities to grow together! 🥰

🎶📚 Nursery rhymes came to LIFE in Kindergarten! 📚🎶

Our amazing Specials Team hosted a fun filled event for all of our kindergarten students to celebrate, review, and bring their weeks of Knowledge Time learning to life! From familiar nursery rhymes to hands on fun, our students got to show off what they know while making some wonderful memories along the way.

How awesome is that?! We love seeing learning come alive! 💛

🧡💛 Growing Strong Together! 💛🧡

Today we wore orange and yellow as we continued our Safe Schools Week journey! 🌳✨ Our focus was on mental health, resilience, and asking for help.

Just like a tree’s trunk helps it stand strong, our feelings and coping skills help us stand strong too! 🌱 Students practiced taking deep breaths, reminding themselves “I can handle this,” and identifying trusted adults they can turn to when they need help.

We took three slow breaths together and reminded ourselves:

🫁 Breathe in… I am safe.
💭 Breathe out… I can ask for help.

Because being strong doesn’t mean doing everything alone. Asking for help is strong! 🧡💛
