Students in Mrs. Harrell's Agriscience class have been hard at work starting their own cucumber, radish, and lettuce seeds in hopes of growing their very own salad! 🥒+🫜+🥬=🥗

Each student researched, carefully chose, and planted their veggie varieties. Once the seedlings were big enough, they transplanted them into their mobile veggie garden boxes to care for them and watch them grow!

Hello EJMS Community - Welcome to another great week at EJMS!

It is Anti-Bullying Spirit Week so check out the calendar for what to wear when and we hope our whole school is decked out in orange to show we are united for Unity Day on Wednesday.

This week we also have a health/PE field trip, choir and band concerts, and the fall dance, Back to the 90's on Friday. Don't forget to get tickets for that Wednesday during lunch! It's going to be a great week at EJMS and we can't wait to get it started!

6th grade students in Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Wallace’s General Music class have been learning instruments and put on a very impressive “class concert” this week!

So proud of this group and maybe we have recruited some new musicians?! 🎶🎵🎶

Over the past two days Mrs. Simpson, Mr. Warren, and Mr. Paulus' 8th grade classes participated in an interactive investigation of the Boston Massacre. Students were given the opportunity to collaborate, while analyzing primary and secondary sources, allowing them to take on the role of historical detectives. 🕵

Nothing makes history come alive like full immersion and the chance to practice critical thinking!

Next week is Anti-Bullying Spirit Week at EJMS and we want to see the whole school show out in support by participating in our daily themes!

Mark those calendars and let's all come together to make the statement that bullying has no place in the world we're all trying to build together!
