Two days later and we’re still feeling the energy from the Welcome Back Bash! 🎉❤️🖤

The Hangar was full of students connecting, discovering new ways to get involved and kicking off the semester with plenty of food, fun and Raider spirit.

From student clubs and campus resources to community partners, the Welcome Back Bash was all about helping students find their people, explore new opportunities and make NWFSC feel like home.

Congratulations to Dr. Cristie Kedroski on her induction into the 2026 Okaloosa County Women’s Hall of Fame!

Recognized in the Community Service category, Dr. Kedroski has dedicated more than 15 years to advancing Northwest Florida State College and strengthening the community we serve. During her tenure, she helped grow the NWFSC Foundation’s endowment from $36 million to more than $62 million, oversaw $75 million in grants and stepped forward to serve as interim president in 2024.

Her leadership, service and lasting impact continue to open doors and create opportunities throughout our region. We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor and grateful for all Dr. Kedroski has done for NWFSC and Northwest Florida. ❤️🖤

🎉 The Hangar was PACKED for today’s Welcome Back Bash! ❤️🖤

Students kicked off the semester with pizza, sodas and waffles from Waffle House while meeting new people and discovering all the ways to get involved at NWFSC.

Representatives from student clubs and organizations were on hand to get students signed up for the new semester. Want to learn more about getting involved? Follow Northwest Florida State College Raider Life!

Students also connected with campus and community partners including Raider Village, Florida Corps, United States Air Force, NWFSC Police and Emergency Management, Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance’s Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance Estuary Program (CBAEP), and University of West Florida’s NWF2UWF Transfer Pathways Program.

Thanks to everyone who came out, connected and helped us start the semester with some Raider spirit! Here’s to finding your people, trying something new and making the most of the year ahead. ❤️🖤
