DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENING DAY
For 3, 4, & 5 Year Old Children
to be held on
Tuesday, March 10, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
School District of Niagara
The School District of Niagara will be sponsoring a Developmental Screening Day on March 10, 2020. This event serves many purposes. First, it presents the opportunity for preschool-aged children in the district to participate in a developmental screening to assess developmental progress. It also provides parent awareness of intervention services available in the district and identifies children requiring these special services. Last, this event provides resources/materials for parents to use at home with their child.
During this event, your child will be encouraged to participate in a play group/screening where social, communication, motor, and early learning skills will be observed. A vision and hearing screening will also be available.
Your child must be three, four, or five years old by September 1, 2020, and must be a resident in the School District of Niagara or apply for Open Enrollment to the district (http://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment) in order to participate. We invite you and your child of 3 to 5 years of age to participate. If your child has not participated in a previous screening, please call and register.
If you have concerns regarding your child’s development, please call the school at 715-251-4541 ext. 105. Again, the screening will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please call Kerri Oratch at 715-251-4541 ext. 105 to pre-register.
Please bring the following materials with you to the screening:
• Certified copy of Birth Certificate
• Your child’s Immunization Record
