Niagara University Undergraduate Admissions

Niagara University Undergraduate Admissions Founded in the Catholic and Vincentian tradition, Niagara offers an education distinguished by academic excellence and grounded in service to others.

Niagara University is a private, comprehensive, Catholic university founded in 1856, the oldest of three Vincentian universities in the United States. In the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul, the patron saint of charities, ours is a whole education - distinguished by academic excellence and grounded in ethics, values and service to others. At Niagara, we are about success but, even more, we are about

meaningful success. We make a difference in the lives of our students. And they go on to make a difference in the lives of others.

“I came to Niagara in 1997 as a student and never left. As a student, I was able to gain real-world experience in my major through on-campus work and internships, which led to a full-time position in NU’s Office of Information Technology. IT is a unique area to work in, as you get to help every department on campus solve their problems and improve efficiency. And at Niagara, you get the freedom to innovate and collaborate on new ideas. We often look within for solutions because I work with many talented people – and many of them are also Niagara graduates. It’s really incredible how much and how quickly the campus has changed in the 18 years that I’ve been here. We have new buildings and renovated buildings and the campus itself has seen constant upgrades over the years in all areas. It’s always fun to see the awe our campus inspires when you walk by an admissions tour or see a family enjoying the campus during our orientations. Niagara is a really unique place.”

- Matt Villnave, ’01 (Assistant Director of Information Technology / Auburn, N.Y.)
