🇺🇸 Today, We Remember. 🇺🇸

We are sharing this meaningful post from our friends at NFHS as we take time today to remember September 11, 2001.

Our Cataract Tigers were not yet born when the events of 9/11 took place, but that makes teaching them about this day even more important. ❤️🤍💙

Today, we’re also sharing a picture of the sky over Cataract Elementary School as a simple reminder to help a new generation of Americans understand, remember, and honor a day they only know through the stories and lessons we share with them. 🇺🇸

We remember the lives that were lost, the heroes who ran toward danger to help others, the families forever changed, and the incredible courage, kindness, and unity shown in the days that followed.

As educators, we have the responsibility to help the next generation understand our history and why we continue to pause, reflect, and remember each September 11th.

May we continue to teach our students to honor the past by choosing kindness, compassion, courage, and unity in the present.

Our Cataract Tigers are officially READY for i-Ready! 💻⭐

Today, our students were treated to a special i-Ready Assessment Kickoff Assembly to get everyone excited, motivated, and ready to show what they know! And of course, the party wouldn’t have been complete without a visit from Plory! 🎉💜

We talked about taking our time, trying our best, staying focused, and remembering that this first assessment is just the starting point for an amazing year of learning and growth! 📚✏️🌱

We can’t wait to see how much our Tigers grow from now until the end of the year. Do your best, Tigers — you’ve got this! 🐯💪💚

❤️🐯 FIRST DAY: DONE! 🐯❤️

We officially have our first day of the 2026–2027 school year under our belts! 🎉

Our students AND teachers are heading home a little extra tired tonight, but filled with excitement after a GREAT first day back! ❤️

As with any first day, we have a few little details to iron out as everyone gets back into the routine. We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility as we work through arrival, dismissal, schedules, and all of those first-week adjustments. By next week, we’ll be smooth sailing! ⛵️✨

Most importantly, our building was filled with smiling faces, happy reunions, new friendships, learning, laughter, and lots of excitement for the year ahead.

We are SO excited to welcome our Kindergarten through Grade 6 friends beginning TOMORROW! 🎒✏️📚 We can’t wait to see those smiling faces back in our halls!

🌟 Next Tuesday, it will be our Pre-K friends’ turn to shine! 🌟

Please see below for important information regarding arrival and dismissal procedures for all grade levels beginning next week. We appreciate everyone reviewing these procedures to help make arrival and dismissal safe and smooth for all of our Cataract families.

☀️ MORNING ARRIVAL

🍎 8:30 AM — Breakfast Students
Students coming for breakfast may enter through Door 3 ONLY and report directly to the cafeteria.

⏰ 8:45 AM — Regular Arrival Begins

* Door 3: Mrs. Jaworski, Mrs. Pasquantino & Grade 1
* Door 4: Ms. Krawczyk, Mrs. Kempa, Kindergarten & Grade 2
* Door 1: Grades 3–6

⚠️ 9:00 AM or later: Students must enter through Door 1 to receive a tardy slip.

🏡 AFTERNOON DISMISSAL

🌈 Pre-K: 3:00 PM
🔔 All other students: 3:15 PM

* Door 2: Grades 3–5
* Door 3: Mrs. Jaworski, Mrs. Pasquantino & Grade 1
* Door 4: Ms. Krawczyk, Mrs. Kempa, Kindergarten & Grade 2
* Door 5: Grade 6 & Mrs. Pati’s class
* 🚌 Bus students: Will report directly to the gym.

👫 Older siblings picking up younger siblings must exit the building and meet their sibling outside at the appropriate designated dismissal door.

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDER: Parents and guardians must remain outside the building during arrival and dismissal. Please take those special first-day pictures, give those extra hugs and kisses, and say your goodbyes before your child enters the building. 📸❤️
