Some celebrities have publicly admitted to getting sweaty palms, dry mouth, and the jitters before giving presentations, or stepping out on a stage in front of an audience. How did some of the most famous people in the world manage to curb their adrenaline and become great speakers? Here, we'll present our research on the public speaking tip that helped Emma Watson sparkle on and off the public stage.

Emma Watson’s stage fright first hand. The one thing the star did to refocus herself? Breathe. It’s a technique anyone can use, but it’s so obvious we often forget! Founder/CEO of Global Public Speaking, Allison Shapira, says breathing techniques are the “most important, yet the least taught, areas within public speaking,” and not all breathing is created equal. Shapira recommends standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and sipping air in deeply, while you speak on the exhale. In other words, let a strong inhale support your voice so it takes on a rich tone and exudes confidence.

👋 Don't want to miss the hottest topic of discussion on the new iPhone 12 and 12 Pro marking the beginning of a new generation of iPhone, PSC brings to you a little bit about the founder of Apple who is also known as a master of public speaking skills.

🔥 The Apple legend Steve Jobs is a big name that is so familiar to almost everyone around the globe. He is a master in business, also well known as a prideful leader.

🔥 Steve Jobs did not start out as a blessed speaker so his dynamic achievement in the field came from non-stop practices. His first TV interview in 1978 shows him nervous and terrified. A big change happened in the 1st iPhone Keynote when Steve delivers the best presentation of all time. His presentation of the iPhone in 2007 is also considered one of the best business presentations ever delivered. Through the iconic speech, he has propagated a legacy in approaching audiences to later businessmen: Steve Jobs stung the audience like a bumblebee about a story that simplified a concept, sold the benefit, and inspired them.

💯 His approaching method and “PS” skill could also be a mystery waiting to be solved with PSC. So please stay tuned for a journey to “the treasure site”!

🔥Public Speaking (“PS”) has become a popular phrase, especially to students and young generations. However, do we actually perceive the essence of the phrase? Are we using it correctly or at least in an appropriate situation? So comes doubt in our deep understanding of “PS”. Now, let’s reveal the true nature of the magnificent Public Speaking.
👌Some people might say that PS is nothing but a fancy alternative to presentation skills. Is it right? Oh, not so sure! If “PS” is just as simple as presentation, would it be enough to earn itself one of the most needed skills required in the 21st century? If “PS” is so ordinary as people thought it was, why is it so highly recommended by celebrities and prominent individuals such as Warren Buffet, John F. Kennedy, Barack Obama, etc. To some extent, perhaps, we are narrowing down the way of interpreting the holy phrase, which should be broadly explained!
🤔 Let’s think of a situation when you’re standing in front of a bunch of people to raise your voice. It could be a class presentation, a Marketing proposal to personnel, or even a Shark Tank investment call. Those examples are considered as public speaking. So what are exactly the key factors to differentiate “PS” from simply talking to a crowd? The answer lies in the value, purpose, and transmission method of information you want to deliver to the audience. “PS” is an art of words, a collection of necessary and important skills such as presentation, eloquence, and persuasion. In public speaking, the information is purposeful and meant to inform, to influence, to entertain, and to finally convince a group of listeners. The main and utmost important goal of Public Speaking is the ability to persuade, influence, or to change people’s awareness and behaviors towards the problems you are trying to deliver.
💯 To sum up, the essence of Public Speaking has been clarified so now we have understood a little bit deeper about this phrase. However, such simple information is not enough for us to become a “PS” master. More info and efforts are required so please stay tuned with Public Speaking Club to conquer this “PS” challenge.
