The Shreve-Price family, had a packed summer! They started by visiting Grandma in Arizona, then traveled to Thailand, where their son competed in the International Geography Bee and earned multiple gold medals! They also met up with Laura Kinney and her husband to bike from Pittsburgh to Cumberland.
After completing her master’s degree in the United States, our new faculty member, Elena Morales, returned home to Spain to spend time with family! She got to celebrate Spain’s World Cup victory with her town and spent a month working at a summer camp before traveling to Paris to visit one of her best friends!
Spending the summer rowing on Boathouse Row with Vesper’s High Performance Team, Haley Uliasz, had an exciting season on the water! She competed in regattas both domestically and internationally, earning first place at the Independence Day Regatta in Philadelphia.
Mike Sherman and his wife, Wendy, took a trip out West this summer, visiting Los Angeles, Portland, and Eugene! They flew to Portland, where they enjoyed the beautiful coastal scenery and visited some George School folks before heading to Eugene to watch elite track and field athletes compete in the Prefontaine Classic.
Starting the school year on the go, Emily Carmichael visited six colleges to learn more about each campus and gather information she can share with students—because, as a college counselor, that’s what she does best! She visited UConn, Mississippi State University, the University of Alabama, Trinity College, Connecticut College, and Wesleyan University.
Rachel Zobel spent the summer with her graduate school colleagues at the University of Delaware, enjoying plenty of fun while wrapping up her doctoral research. She also explored some new hobbies, including visiting different caves with her stepdaughter. When she wasn’t busy adventuring, Rachel enjoyed soaking up the sunshine with her extra-sleepy puppy, Barkley!
