🎭 Soulshine Stage is officially taking shape!

Today, Taylor and I sat down for our very first curriculum development meeting—and I left SO excited about what we’re creating for these kids.

We’re building a musical theatre program that goes beyond learning songs and choreography. Soulshine Stage is designed to help young performers:

✨ Build real performance skills
✨ Grow confidence on and off the stage
✨ Explore acting, singing & movement
✨ Work together, take creative risks and make bold choices
✨ And most importantly… have SO much fun doing something they love.

We’ve been thinking through everything—from age-appropriate acting work and partner scenes to vocal skills, movement, stage presence and how we want each child to feel when they walk out of class.

And now we’re almost ready to begin. ❤️

We have just 10 spots left across our upcoming Soulshine Stage classes, and I would LOVE to fill them before our first curtain goes up. 🎭

If you have a kid who sings around the house, puts on shows in the living room, loves being onstage—or is just waiting for a place where they can come out of their shell—this might be their place.

I received this gift from a Soulshine family today, and it honestly stopped me in my tracks, and tears were shed! After 4 years of weekly music class these two are headed to Kindergarten!

Getting to be part of these little people’s lives — watching them grow, find their voices, gain confidence, and experience the joy of making music together — is such a privilege.

There are hard days in small business. There are days when I wonder if I’m getting any of it right. And then there are days like today.

💙 THREE YEARS OF MUSIC TOGETHER! 💙

Talk about a full circle family! 🥹🎶

Skylar’s family first joined Music Together during COVID, when we were making music together outside in Leslie’s front yard with her big sister! Fast forward a few years, and it was Skylar’s turn. 💕

Skylar started her own Music Together journey in a Babies Only class with Leslie, and we’ve had the absolute joy of watching her grow from a tiny baby into the bright, bubbly little girl she is today.

Along the way, we’ve watched her musical development blossom too — from finding the beat and experimenting with her voice to developing increasingly strong rhythm and tonal skills. 🎵

But maybe our favorite part has been watching that BIG personality emerge week after week. ☀️

There is something incredibly special about making music together with a family for 6 years straight ! Proud and grateful ✨
