Hey MLC, When is the Best Time to Take the SAT Test?
Most students take the SAT during their junior or senior year in high school. At least half of all students take the SAT twice — in the spring of their junior year and in the fall of their senior year. Most students also improve their score the second time around.
For the SAT Subject Tests™, most students take them toward the end of their junior year or at the beginning of their senior year. In general, you should take tests such as World History, Biology E/M, Chemistry or Physics as soon as possible after completing the course in the subject. Students tend to do better on other tests like languages after at least two years of study.

This week's SAT fact: Did you know that the average student who takes the SAT only gets 55% correct? Clearly different than what most students are accustomed to for a standard high-school exam.
Today's SAT fact: The math section of the SAT is broken down as follows-25% is Basic Math, 30% is Algebra 1, 25% is Geometry, and 20% is Algebra 2
Today's study tip: Do not stay up late the night before the SAT. No matter how tempting it may seem to stay up late and cram more information into your head, it is a much better tactic to get a good night's sleep.

Today's fun fact: The SAT does not officiallly stand for anything! According to college campus, it used to stand for Scholastic Apptitude Test, but then it was changed to Scholastic Assesment Test, and then finally to nothing, in order to appease critics who did not think the name reflected the test material.
We are now offering a free SAT sample test and diagnostic at Council Rock High School South. The next SAT class will be starting December 5th at Council Rock High School. If you are interested, you can find more details at:
