Happy birthday, Marc Chagall! Born in 1887, Chagall was a leader in the early modernist movement, and we are lucky to have his art grace the walls of the Met. Take a closer look at his murals “The Triumph of Music” and “The Sources of Music,” and hear what our Director of Archives, Peter Clark, has to say about these massive paintings.
