The Public Safety Training Academy family is heartbroken as we continue to keep Battalion Chief/Instructor Bryan Schoch and his loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
With the permission of the Schoch Family, we share that BC Schoch suffered a medical emergency on Sunday evening and remains under medical care, surrounded by family, friends, and members of the fire service community. His prognosis is grave. Father Vic and Father Pagnotta have administered the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
Chief Schoch proudly served the Jersey City Fire Department as Battalion Chief of the 2nd Battalion Group A and the Secaucus Fire Department, while also dedicating countless hours to the Public Safety Training Academy as an instructor, mentor, and friend to so many. His passion for the fire service and commitment to training the next generation of firefighters left a lasting impact on every student who walked through our doors.
In keeping with his selfless character and lifelong dedication to helping others, Chief Schoch is a registered organ donor, and through the NJ Sharing Network, his wishes are being honored so that others may have the gift of life.
Please join us in praying for Bryan, the Schoch Family, and all those who have had the privilege of serving alongside him. Service(s) information will be shared as they are made available.
