Dearborn Academy is one of New England’s leading state-approved therapeutic day schools for students with learning, emotional and social challenges. With a unique and comprehensive blend of educational, therapeutic as well as emotional instruction and support, we exist to create a distinct pathway to success for every student. We help each student develop the knowledge, skills and tools needed to gain academic mastery and build meaningful friendships. With the support of caring, expert staff, Dearborn students learn to confidently manage their mental health, social and/or learning needs. Dearborn students set and accomplish goals that lead to postsecondary education and fulfilling careers, and become role models in their communities.

The halls are buzzing again.

Dearborn faculty and staff are back in the building, reuniting with colleagues, getting classrooms ready, sharpening lesson plans, sharing ideas, and preparing for the most important part of all: welcoming our students back.

There’s something special about these final days before a new school year begins. Fresh starts. New possibilities. Familiar faces. New faces. And a whole lot of excitement about what’s ahead.

We’re getting ready, Dearborn. We can’t wait to see you!

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐲!

Today we kicked off our 2026 Summer Program with one of our favorite traditions, a trip to Auburndale Park! Students spent the day fishing, playing GaGa ball, jumping into card games, and enjoying a little kickball, all while reconnecting with friends and staff.
Our Summer Program blends academic support, therapeutic support, community building, outdoor adventures, and plenty of fun. It is all about helping students keep growing, stay connected, try new things, and make the most of summer together.

Despite the heat, it was a fabulous first day, and we can’t wait for all the adventures ahead!
