What does 25 years of faithful service look like? π
At NCS, it looks like a life poured into students, families, teachers, and the daily work of caring for a school.
This year, we celebrate Joanne Holcomb as she retires after more than 25 years of dedicated service to Northwest Christian School.
Many may know Joanne from her years as an office assistant, school nurse, or playground supervisor, but her connection to NCS began even earlier. More than 45 years ago, she began serving as a PTF secretary, faithfully volunteering for 10 years before stepping into additional roles throughout the life of the school.
Through every season, Joanne has been a steady and caring presence, blessing our school family with her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering commitment to serving others.
While her daily presence will be greatly missed, the impact of her faithfulness will continue to be felt for years to come.
Thank you, Mrs. Holcomb, for the countless ways you have served NCS. We are grateful for your legacy and pray Godβs richest blessings over this next chapter of retirement. π

What happens when geography, technology, communication, and creativity come together in one project? πβοΈ
Hereβs a glimpse of our 5th Grade International Fair.
Through a collaboration between Mrs. McFeelyβs 5th grade class and Mrs. Turnerβs computer class, students researched countries from around the world, created digital presentations, and shared their learning with fellow students across multiple grade levels.
At NCS, technology is used with purpose, helping students communicate, create, and engage more deeply with what theyβre learning.
And through it all, students are encouraged to grow not only in knowledge and skill, but also in confidence, character, and faith as they explore Godβs world together. π
If youβve been looking for a learning environment where academic growth, purposeful technology, and Christ-centered education come together, weβd love to welcome you for a visit.

Our Spring Concert brought together students, families, teachers, and friends for an evening filled with music, encouragement, and celebration.
It was a joy to watch our students share the gifts God has given them and the hard work they have put in throughout the year.
A special thank you to Mrs. Holschuh, Mr. Barrieres, and Mrs. Marine for their time, dedication, and leadership in helping make the evening such a success. We are grateful for the many ways they encourage our students to grow and use their talents for Godβs glory. πΆβ¨
Moments like these remind us that some of the sweetest memories of school life happen when a school family gathers to support and celebrate one another.
What a wonderful evening together! π

What if success was measured by how well we serve others? π
At NCS, we believe some of the most important qualities in a student are humility, perseverance, compassion, and a willingness to put others before themselves.
Congratulations to Colin Seifert, recipient of the 2026 Servantβs Heart Scholarship in honor of Dora Pedersen.
This special award recognizes a student who reflects the values that Doraβs life exemplified and celebrates a legacy of humble service, perseverance, and Christlike character.
While accomplishments and achievements are worthy of celebration, it is the heart behind them that often leaves the greatest impact.
Colin, thank you for the example you have been to those around you. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor. May you continue to serve the Lord and others with faithfulness wherever He leads you.
Well done, Colin! ππ¦

π What makes a great teacher unforgettable?
Itβs more than lessons and assignments. Itβs the way a teacher encourages, invests, inspires, and faithfully shows up day after day for their students.
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Courtney Salvigsen, our 2025β2026 NCS Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Salvigsenβs dedication to her students, commitment to Christian education, and love for learning have made a lasting impact on countless lives. Through both her teaching and example, she helps shape not only minds, but hearts.
We are grateful for the many ways she serves our school family and for the Christ-centered influence she has in the classroom each day.
Congratulations, Mrs. Salvigsen, on this well-deserved recognition! ππ¦

π Have you ever noticed how younger students naturally look up to older students?
One of our favorite moments this track season wasnβt at a meet. It was watching some of our youngest students stop what they were doing to watch the older athletes practice. Little eyes watching. Learning. Aspiring.
Moments like that are a beautiful reminder of what makes NCS so special.
Track & Field is about much more than competition. Through opportunities like these, students learn perseverance, build confidence, encourage one another, discover new abilities, and experience the joy of growing alongside peers who share the same Christ-centered foundation.
This season brought exciting accomplishments, including multiple top finishes, first-place performances, relay success, and personal bests. But the greatest growth isnβt measured by a finish line.
At Northwest Christian School, we desire to help students run the race God has set before them. They are growing in faith, character, and confidence while learning what it means to encourage others and use their gifts for His glory.
βLet us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.β Hebrews 12:1
