We are sharing difficult news about the future of Family ACCESS.

Due to declining enrollment and increasing costs, the Board of Directors and Leadership have made the decision to permanently close Family ACCESS. The last day for our Early Learning Center, Early Literacy Services, and Counseling Services will be Thursday, June 25, 2026.

🚀The Blue Room is reaching for the stars! 🌟

Our little astronauts have been busy exploring outer space during our space exploration study! We watched exciting videos of the Artemis rocket takeoff and landing, learned about zero gravity, and talked about what it might be like to travel to the moon. 🌎✨

The children had wonderful discussions about what they would pack for a trip to the moon! Their imaginations and curiosity truly soared as we discovered more about space together.

We also created our very own astronaut display board, showing that in The Blue Room, the sky is never the limit! 🚀💙

It is Teacher Appreciation Day, and we have so much gratitude for our teachers.

To our teachers, thank you for the steady care you bring into every classroom. You help children feel safe and confident as they learn, build friendships, and try new things.

You do more than teach. You help children build confidence, and you support families with kindness and consistency. We are truly grateful for you, today and every day.

How do young people view our planet? As part of Earth Day learning, every class at Family ACCESS collaborated on an art installation titled “Dirty Earth & Clean Earth.”
“Dirty Earth” depicted pollution, waste, and environmental harm, while “Clean Earth” illustrated sustainability, natural beauty, and positive environmental actions.

“This project provided students with an opportunity to reflect creatively on their role in protecting the environment which contributing to a unified, school-wide message about caring of our planet,” noted Katrina Hester, M.Ed., Program Director for the Early Learning Center.

The artwork is now proudly displayed in the school.

Family ACCESS is excited to once again support our non profit partner, Newton Neighbors, with their Mother’s Day Weekend Diaper Collection and Distribution.

Last year, they collected and distributed more than 53,000 diapers to community members in need. This year, we are proud to help again.

We asked our Family ACCESS parents for their easy, go-to recipes! Ariella and her two children love these ABC (Apple, Banana and Carrot) muffins, which they make together.

“They allow me to get some carrots into my picky eater,” says Ariella, adding that she puts the carrots in a blender instead of grating them so they are harder for the kids to see. “I also love that I can freeze them and put them in lunches for weeks!"

Earth Day is a reminder that caring for the world can start small, and children are often the ones who notice the details first.

When we slow down and spend time outside together, we help little learners build curiosity, respect, and a sense of responsibility for the spaces they share with others.

What is one simple way your family is showing the Earth a little extra care today?

Tomorrow some 30,000 pairs of feet will hit the pavement to travel from Hopkinton to Boston, as part of the 130th Boston Marathon.

Among the runners, Andover’s Anthony Marino who was given a bib from the City of Newton to raise dollars for Family ACCESS.

It’s Anthony’s first full marathon. You can follow his progress throughout the 26.2 mile course by downloading the free B.A.A. mobile app and typing in Anthony’s bib number - 30685.

“I know that after months of training and fundraising, crossing that finish line for Family ACCESS will mean the world to me,” he says.

Anthony has raised 90 percent of his fundraising dollars. Can you help him meet his goal?
