Home - The Preschool Experience We are located in the heart of beautiful Newton Center, MA. The Preschool Experience is a well-established independent preschool that was started in 1980.

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Assistant Preschool Teacher to work as part of a Teaching Team in our PreK class, beginning in September 2021. Our philosophy focuses on the development of effective Social Skills, nurturing a strong Self-Esteem, and building a strong base of Readiness Skills. Classroom Teachers work together to develop and implement the Thematically-based Child Directed curriculum. The position is 5 days a week, 8AM - 1:30PM, with the possibility of additional afternoon hours.

Our school serves families in the Newton area and has 3 distinctive classrooms with children ages 2 - 5. The Preschool is open 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM and we run an academic year from the beginning of September until the Friday after Memorial Day. We are closed for public school holidays and vacations. Staff have the option of working for our Summer Program, which begins immediately after the school year ends and runs for nine weeks. The school is closed for most of August

Responsibilities of the position include helping to plan and implement the classroom curriculum; assisting with the daily routines of the classroom; and helping to carry out the overall mission of the preschool. In addition, staff are required to attend All School Staff Meetings that occur periodically during the year, and to fulfill EEC Staff Development training requirements.

Successful Candidates will have:
- Experience working with preschool aged children
- A basic knowledge of Child Development
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Capacity to create warm, nurturing relationships with children
- EEC Teacher Certification a plus
- A Bachelor's Degree

The Preschool Experience, a well-established Newton preschool, is seeking a part-time Lead Toddler Teacher beginning September 2021. We are a socialization-based preschool with an emphasis on the development of self-esteem, cooperative learning, and readiness skills. The position is part-time, 5 days a week 8:00AM until 1:00PM, with the option of additional hours in the afternoon. Our school is open 8 AM – 3 PM, and we run on an academic school year calendar, beginning the week of Labor Day. We are closed for public school holidays and vacations. Staff also have the option of working for our summer program, which begins immediately after the school year ends and runs until the beginning of August.
Responsibilities of the position include:
• Overseeing the development, preparation and Implementation of the curriculum of the classroom on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the school
• Providing an educational, nurturing, safe and inviting environment that is in keeping with the preschool’s mission, program, and policies
• Being responsible for maintaining open avenues of communication with Parents (daily notes, newsletters, calendars, emails, etc.); Co-Workers (staff meetings); and Administrators
• Developing and maintaining Assessment Records of students
• Helping to act as a liaison between the administration and the wider preschool community
Successful candidates must be EEC Certified Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher, and have at least two years experience in a Toddler classroom. They should also have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and proficiency in computer skills.

What a day!!! We are beyond thrilled that after so many months we were finally able to reopen our doors today!!! There’s no greater feeling than seeing all the children’s smiling faces so happy to come in to school! 🥰 Thank you to all of our amazing families, we’re hoping for a great year ahead!

Good afternoon friends!

As July is coming to an end we are eagerly preparing for our Preschool REOPENING in September!! It has been quite a roller-coaster these past months, and we can not wait to see all of our friends and families back at school!

There are lots of changes being put in place; including many health and safety regulations to keep our children, families and staff safe and healthy 💕
