🌈KINDERGARTEN READY!

Enjoy this interactive skills tool that was tailored for my group of 19 preschoolers who graduated in May. I have seen every child demonstrate each of the skills represented in this little book (other than the being inside of their new school…as overheard in the video clip).

During a one day Kindergarten Camp, they were each given this as a laminated book with a dry erase marker.

Even though our classroom does not represent a traditional school as much as it could, I believe that my preschoolers are more than ready to land in their kindergarten classrooms.

With a lifetime of robust play, exploration, problem solving, critical thinking and free expression….off they go! 🥹

Thank you for your love of our little preschool. We've been in operation as a non-profit since 1995 (!) and couldn't be who we are without all the support. All items purchased will be used in our classroom and shared with preschool families. As always, this list is a guide and we welcome used or locally purchased items as well!

On April 13, my graduating preschoolers started designing their sticks using a paper template, markers and crayons. I took the designs home and spent the last weeks trimming, sanding and painting “good sticks.”

I’m curious if the children will recognize their sticks based on their paper designs. What a fantastic collaborative art project this has been and a tangible way to release these children to Kindergarten. 🌈🪵💛

MEETING SOME “NEW FRIENDS” 😂 Parents send in a photo before the school year starts that I then use as their cubby photo and for other photo purposes during the year. Since there were some leftover, I cut them apart and glued them back together, combining two children’s faces and their names. 😂
