The immersive theater workshop brings together classes from various disciplines that culminates in a live performance.
This year Early Childhood Education, ASL, 3-D projections and Theater worked together to create a children’s show.

Our final student is Chris Fett, who designed the set and ran the backstage during “Sparkle! Party from Scaps.”

The production team plays an important role in “Sparkle! Party from Scraps.”
Logan Daingerfield not only wrote the script but designed and operated the lights. The show takes place in the Student Center Theater and the college just put in a brand new lighting system with dmx lighting and console. Logan did a fantastic job programming the show with the new system.
“Sparkle! Party from Scraps” is an original production presented by the SCCC Theater Workshop class.
The next show will be on Saturday, May 9 at 12 pm in the Student Center Theater in building D on campus of SCCC.

Happiness is checking out the new movement room in Building E at . This new space is perfect for dance classes, yoga and practicing numbers for shows.
The theater workshop checked it out and went into first position and tried out a glide pose.

Continuing on with our Meet the cast segment of “Sparkle! Party from Scraps” is Andrea Pennella, who plays Brooke. Andrea created many of the decorations using recycled materials, which is an important theme of the show. She also was our costume designer.

Continuing on with our Meet the cast segment of “Sparkle! Party from Scraps” is Rebecca Job, who plays Mom. Rebecca is a musical theater major and she wrote an original song for the children’s show. Rebecca will be graduating next week!
