We're proud to be hosting our fifth and largest cohort of PowerCorpsBOS!

PowerCorpsBOS is a Green Industry Workforce Development Program that offers young adults from marginalized communities in with training, career readiness support, and connections to employers in the green industry.

The program includes a credit-bearing course in Arboriculture & Urban Forestry from offered on the .

Cross-cultural exchange was on full display when we invited students from to join our annual pumpkin carving event! 🎃

Great student turnout tonight for Campus Innovator Networking!

Founders and staff from the small and emerging startups in the Mount Ida Campus Innovation & Collaboration Space offered business reviews and networked with students in the Campus Center.

In return for the opportunity to colocate with and our incredible research faculty and facilities, these companies commit to hiring our students for internships and participate in professional development programming like tonight’s event.

Students in the program got an early opportunity to meet these companies and build relationships that could result in internships or employment in the future!

The inaugural cohort of the Career Launch program is moved in and ready to go!

Officials from the University of Massachusetts, the City of Newton and the West Suburban YMCA gathered on July 17 to celebrate the grand opening of the Wells Avenue Path, a new ADA-accessible pedestrian link between the Mount Ida Campus of UMass Amherst and the Wells Avenue Business Park.

The 350-foot concrete path, equipped with lighting and handrails, connects UMass Amherst’s Greater Boston center for professional development with Newton’s largest business park—home to the Wells Ave YMCA and major employers like Karyopharm Therapeutics, CyberArk and Bright Horizons Corporate Headquarters. It now provides UMass students with direct access to internships, employment and the YMCA, where they enjoy memberships via a partnership between UMass and West Suburban YMCA.
