Problem of the week ๐ŸŽˆ:

Imagine you have a spherical balloon ๐ŸŽˆ that you are filling with helium at a constant rate of 0.5 cubic meters per minute โฒ๏ธ.

1๏ธโƒฃ. Using calculus, find out how fast the radius of the balloon is increasing after 8 minutes from when you started filling the balloon ๐Ÿค”.

2๏ธโƒฃ. Helium is a monatomic ideal gas. Under normal conditions (room temperature, 20ยฐC, and standard pressure, 1 atm), it occupies 22.4 liters per mole. Calculate the number of moles of helium in the balloon after 8 minutes ๐Ÿงฎ.

3๏ธโƒฃ. If each helium atom has a mass of approximately 4 atomic mass units (AMU), what is the total mass of the helium in the balloon after 8 minutes โš–๏ธ?

Challenge your math and science skills with this Problem of the Week. Good luck! ๐Ÿ€

๐Ÿ” Problem of the Week! ๐Ÿ”

Math, physics, and chemistry can take you to the stars! This week's challenge is out of this world, literally!

Consider a rocket traveling from Earth to Mars. If the average distance between Earth and Mars is about 225 million kilometers, and the rocket travels at an average speed of 100,000 kilometers per hour, how long would the journey take?

Bonus question: What factors could affect this simplistic calculation in real-life space travel?

Let's see who can come up with the right answer! Will post the solution and explanation next week. Happy calculating! ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿš€โญ

๐Ÿ” Puzzle of the Week! ๐Ÿ”

Did you know that math, physics, and chemistry are everywhere around us, even in the kitchen?

For instance, let's talk about boiling water for your tea or coffee. It seems simple, but it's a symphony of science! The process involves heat transfer (physics), state change from liquid to gas (chemistry), and time it takes to boil (mathematics).

Challenge for this week: Can your student calculate how long it would take to boil 1 liter of water at room temperature on a stovetop? Assume the power of the stove is 1000 Watts.

Don't worry, I'll post the answer and explanation next week. Happy solving! ๐ŸŽ“โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ
