School starts Monday!

Right now, our halls are quiet, our classrooms are ready, and everything is waiting for the return of our students. At home, backpacks are being packed and the excitement is building. Here at school, our teachers are making sure every detail is ready and perfect for your child.

We are so excited to welcome our students back and begin another wonderful school year together!

As we prepare to welcome our students back, we ask for God’s blessing and protection over each one of them.

Dear Lord,
We ask You to watch over each of our students as they begin this new school year. Keep them safe, happy, and healthy. Guide them as they learn and grow, and give them the courage to try new things, the wisdom to make good choices, and the confidence to believe in themselves.

Bless their teachers and staff with patience, wisdom, and understanding as they guide and encourage our students each day. May our school be filled with kindness, friendship, faith, and joy.

Lord, we place this school year in Your hands. May it be a safe, happy, and successful year for every student, and may Your presence be with us each step of the way.

Amen.

Friday, Mother Nature was not exactly in our favor, but after the storm passed, we were blessed with something beautiful: a full rainbow stretching across the sky and over our school.

They say there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. We think we found ours.

The end of this rainbow seemed to land right where our greatest treasure is, on our church.

St. Patrick Church is so much more than a building. It is the heart of what brings our St. Patrick family together. It is where our faith, our families, and our community come together. And without the people who walk through those church doors, our school, our parish, and events like the Festival in the Shade simply would not be what they are.

Our volunteers are truly the heart of this festival.

Year after year, they give their time, their energy, their talents, and more hours than we could ever count. They work behind the scenes, serve food, set up, clean up, sell tickets, run games, organize baskets, work the flea market, and do countless little things that most people never see.

They do it because they believe in St. Patrick School.

They do it because they believe in our children.

They do it because they believe in our parish and our community.

And most of all, they do it because this is their family.

We could never put into words how grateful we are for every person who gives their time to make this festival happen. You are the reason we can continue this tradition year after year. You are the hands and hearts behind the scenes, and you are truly our pot of gold.

So when we look back at that rainbow, we won’t just see a beautiful moment after a storm. We’ll see a reminder of just how blessed we are to have the most incredible volunteers and the most wonderful St. Patrick family.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We love and appreciate each and every one of you more than you know.

TODAY IS YOUR LAST CHANCE to come out to the 2026 Festival in the Shade!

Join us today from 3:00–7:00 PM for one final afternoon of great food, fun, and family time.

Moore Brothers will be performing starting at 3:30 PM!

Great food, fun games, lots of great finds still available at the flea market, and a HUGE basket raffle with over 240 baskets!

And don’t forget to take a chance on the Squishies Raffle while you’re here! This basket is every kid’s dream and is sure to be a favorite!

Basket Raffle Reminder:
The last ticket will be sold at 5:00 PM.
Basket drawings will begin at 5:30 PM.
Winners will be announced after the final ticket is drawn.

Come spend the afternoon with us and help us wrap up another great Festival in the Shade!

Come out and enjoy a great weekend with delicious food, free entertainment, family fun, games, our huge flea market, and our basket raffle featuring over 240 baskets!

Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate this evening (Friday, 8/7), so we have shut down for the night.

A huge thank you to everyone who tried to tough it out with us and came out this evening. We truly appreciate your support!

But the Festival in the Shade continues tomorrow and Sunday! Be sure to come out tomorrow to enjoy Full Kilt, in one of their last performances, and join us Sunday for The Moore Brothers!

There are still plenty of goodies waiting for you at the flea market, great food, and over 240 baskets in this year’s basket raffle!
