Yesterday afternoon, two Lenoir County Sheriff's Office deputies were shot in the line of duty while responding to a routine call about someone discharging a fi***rm.

Both deputies were taken to a local hospital and are in stable condition. We ask that you keep these deputies, their families and their colleagues at the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office in your prayers as they continue in their recovery.
