Meet Our Staff - Ms. Brooks! Dean of students💙💛🐻

Ms. Brooks serves as our Dean of Virtual Students, oversees our Credit Recovery program, and helps lead our SPLT program. A proud Jefferson alumna and member of the Class of 1987, Ms. Brooks continues to give back to the school and community she has called home for so many years. She has a special place in her heart for students who may be struggling or simply need someone in their corner. Students know they can come to Ms. Brooks for her kind heart, listening ear, and genuine willingness to help however she can. Outside of JHS, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and especially loves soaking up time with her recently born grandson. Ms. Brooks’ compassion and commitment to serving others make her such an important part of our JHS family! Once a Bear, always a Bear! 💙💛🐻

Meet Our Staff - Mr. Abrams! Dean of students 💙💛🐻

Mr. Abrams is a proud Jefferson alumnus, graduating from JHS in 2008, and loves being able to give back to the school and community that helped shape him. When he’s not at school, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying active. At JHS, you’ll often find him supporting our students at athletic events, extracurricular activities, performances, and just about anywhere the Bears are represented. Building relationships with students and being part of their high school experience is one of his favorite parts of the job. Once a Bear, always a Bear! Go Bears! 💙💛

Meet our Staff- Mrs.Ely Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Ely is truly the heartbeat of JHS! 💙💛 A proud Jefferson alumna and member of the Class of 2002, she truly bleeds blue and gold. Known for her contagious laugh, fun loving personality, and ability to brighten just about anyone’s day, Mrs. Ely brings an energy to our building that makes JHS a better place to be. Whether she’s helping a student, DJing our pep rallies, supporting a staff member, or simply making someone smile when they need it most, she brings warmth, laughter, and a whole lot of Bear pride to everything she does. We’re lucky to have her back home at JHS! 🐻💙💛

Congratulations to the JHS Robotics Team T.E.M.P.E.S.T. on their second consecutive win at the off-season Michigan Advanced Robotics Competition this past weekend!! The team ended up in an alliace with the first and second place teams! They also co-hosted the event with the Dundee team. This meant spending many hours setting up and taking down the event along with competing in the event. We are so proud of them!! Go BEARS!! 💙💛

Meet our Staff- Mrs.Payment Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Payment enjoys reading, spending time with her family, going up north, and taking pictures outdoors. She graduated from JHS in 1991 and remembers thinking in high school that it would be cool to one day work as a secretary at Jefferson—and now she does! You must bring your own supplies, so get with friends and share paint! 😄 Because spots were painted last year, you will need to paint over the spot first on Friday, August 21st between 9 and 2.
