September 4th, 1973. 7:41am.
First day of school, not just any first day, first day of High School, Oh My God I’m a Freshman, walk up the sidewalk and turn right – NOT left, I don’t remember my locker combination, this bench is packed, first period – Algebra, not the pretend Algebra, the real Algebra, UUUUUGH Bummer, this Miss Graham lady is intense, a smoking lounge???, I’m never going to survive this, a mile-and-a-half in 12 minutes… are you kidding me, another smoking lounge?!?!, field hockey tryouts next week, I don’t know – maybe volleyball, maybe the Backgammon Club, finally lunch, wow, wow… burgers and pizza – that’s cool, study hall, nap time…
We were so confident, we were so terrified, we were so young! Fifty Years, Time flies! These memories are etched in stone - eternal and forever - they were etched by the Indian Hill High School Class of 1977, the people that shaped our lives.
