Can somebody please tell me why so many of you are following this site?

This site is no longer active. I am coming here because every day I get notifications that someone else is following. WHY? I never post anything. What is going on?

This is a professional site for sociologists who typically study gender issues, or who focus on social justice. The group would have meetings alongside an organization called the Midwest Sociological Society. A regional association for academics in the Midwest of the United States.

I am retired from academia and I am sure someone else is keeping this site alive somewhere else. So if you are truly interested in this topic, google it and find whatever the new site is. Perhaps you can discover it at the Midwest Sociological Society.

Abortion rights are threatened in Ohio (my home state). Please tell everyone you know in Ohio to VOTE NO on issue 1. This Tuesday.

Groups hoping to enshrine abortion rights in Ohio’s constitution have delivered nearly double the number of signatures needed to place an amendment on the fall statewide ballot.
