George Weghorst, a regional spelling bee champion from Fort Thomas, Kentucky, has been studying thousands of words in preparation for the national competition in Washington, D.C.

Veterans Day will be taking place Saturday, November 11 at 11am! 🇺🇸

Join us at the Armory in Tower Park starting at 10am with the Veterans & Friends Coffee Club for light refreshments and getting to connect with others. Then head over to the Charters of Freedom at 11am for the ceremony part of the program.

This year's Ceremony will focus on everyone who participated in the Veteran Banner program. Our guest speakers will be reading off all the names of our participants during the ceremony. After the ceremony, we will be having Mission BBQ catering lunch in the Armory Game Room and the veteran banners will be available for pickup.

If you are not able to attend the ceremony, the banners will be able to be picked up afterwards during normal business hours. The Veterans Day Ceremony will also be live on our page for those who wish to attend, but might not be able to come in person.

We look forward to having you join us this year for our Veterans Day Ceremony to honor our veterans and their service to our great country!

The Trent Primary students got out to enjoy the ☀️ days and visited the first Trent Montessori School!

🏠Did you know Trent Montessori, founded by Jan Haas, September 15th 1981, began in a Victorian house at 324 Overton Street, Newport, KY. This home was designated “The Trent House, a Kentucky landmark. She started the school on the third floor with just four children.

♥️The school moved in 1982 to 305 Park Avenue. We now have 60 primary students enrolled in our primary program. Her daughter, Erin Haas Eckstein, started working full time in 2012 and helped begin the Trent Montessori Toddler Program in 2018 which has 22 students enrolled.

✨Jan’s AMI (American International Montessori) trainer was Renilde Montessori. Maria Montessori’s granddaughter! She inspired and encouraged Jan to start her own school!
